I genuinely like the flavor of a lot of sodas but they add way too much sugar

2018-09-06 15:29:30 UTC

Is keto just a meme? I've thought about trying it, but I'm worried that it's not something I could keep up forever

2018-09-06 15:36:26 UTC

I have heard negative side effects from keto diet regarding kidneys. Try intermittent fasting instead.

2018-09-06 15:39:38 UTC

@Ben Rainsford - OH Keto is legitimate but it requires a good deal of discipline. At the end of the day, it's calories in, calories out. Eat less and excercise more and you'll lose weight.

2018-09-06 15:40:22 UTC

👆🏻

2018-09-06 15:44:09 UTC

@Ben Rainsford - OH Talk to your boys @Andreas Cincinnatus and @Lucas Anglocius they can help get you into shape

2018-09-06 15:44:55 UTC

We should have done some cardio at the Renfaire

2018-09-06 15:45:19 UTC

@Andreas Cincinnatus Stop slacking bro

2018-09-06 15:58:55 UTC

"Calories in, calories out" is a gross oversimplification. This based Asiatic man explains: https://youtu.be/tIuj-oMN-Fk

2018-09-06 16:00:13 UTC

I'm on keto now

2018-09-06 16:00:37 UTC

Down from my all time high of 186 to 172 this morning

2018-09-06 16:00:58 UTC

Have been doing it for maybe 3 weeks

2018-09-06 16:01:40 UTC

I don't know if I just had a lot of eater weight or what, because even to me that seems like way too much

2018-09-06 16:07:39 UTC

@Ben Rainsford - OH I know some people who are on a keto diet and it works for them.
What worked for me in the past is figuring out how many calories and grams of fat my body burned a day and eating a deficit of both.
Whatever works just depends on your body type.

2018-09-06 16:09:16 UTC

The only problem with keto is everyone I know who’s done it usually goes back to their normal size if not worse after coming off it

2018-09-06 16:09:21 UTC

@Jacob a lot of it is water right at first. Your weight loss should level out to about 1-2 lbs a week depending on your deficit.

2018-09-06 16:10:16 UTC

How tf is obesity real? Just stop eating till you have abs, nibba just put the fork down

2018-09-06 16:10:46 UTC

@DairyMaxx like just walk away .... and keep walking

2018-09-06 16:14:11 UTC

The walking helps.

2018-09-06 16:14:46 UTC

Keto works. Works for me, for sure. As a diet it's effective because you aren't as hungry as you'd be on just caloric restriction alone.

2018-09-06 16:14:55 UTC

It's not something to do long-term.

2018-09-06 16:14:58 UTC

It's a tool.

2018-09-06 16:16:47 UTC

Keto is a way to teach your body to burn fat. Fasting is how you actually burn significant amounts of fat. Nobody got time to lose 1-2 lbs a week. You can lose 1-2 lbs per day depending on activity level, while boosting HGH by fasting

2018-09-06 16:17:11 UTC

You can go Keto or just cut the grains, sugar, vegetable oils and get most of the same benefits

2018-09-06 16:18:56 UTC

Depends on the grains, 100% whole wheat grains are fine but definitely cut out white bread and anything that contains enriched flour.

2018-09-06 16:19:24 UTC

I think wheat in general is pretty bad. Glyphosate, gluten, very inflammatory... but it depends on the person

2018-09-06 16:19:25 UTC

The benefits to a gluten free, high cholesterol diet go way beyond fat loss.

2018-09-06 16:21:05 UTC

You make a great point about activity level.

2018-09-06 16:28:33 UTC

A pound of fat is about 3500 calories. You can burn around 2000 just by sitting on your butt all day. Actually do something with your day and losing a pound in 24hr is easy

True story. I lost 70lbs by fasting.

2018-09-06 16:35:36 UTC

PERMABULK GANG

2018-09-06 16:37:55 UTC

Anyways, as I've said before. Ketogenic diets are okay for short term weight loss goals or for those who don't do HI workouts. For those who live a sedentary life or whose workouts are as intense, it could be okay in the short term. But the fact is our bodies are designed to run off of glucose for a reason. While there are some genetic limitations, proper caloric intake combined with a varied exercise program, adequate sleep, and proper supplementation is a much easier and healthier approach to sustainable weight loss

2018-09-06 16:38:19 UTC

😂

2018-09-06 16:38:51 UTC

All I know is I lost 70lbs in 3 months by intermittently fasting and eating vegetarian every other day.

2018-09-06 16:39:02 UTC

I went from size 38 to 31

2018-09-06 16:39:30 UTC

I've lost nearly 40 lbs and have maintained the majority of my strength since then 😎

2018-09-06 16:40:21 UTC

Having an active job helps too. I was behind a desk, now I’m a blue collar A/C guy.

2018-09-06 16:42:47 UTC

>Not deciding how to eat based on the evolutionary diet of white people

2018-09-06 16:43:30 UTC

True. Go full Paleo.

2018-09-06 16:44:10 UTC

b but your brain burns glucose before anything else! That means it's the preferred fuel source
