Customs and courtesies vary for different affairs and situations. Making a blanket statement about kneeling is just lazy debate. U.S. Code Title 36, Chapter 10, §171 specifically states standing is the correct custom and courtesy.

The trick is you can't try to fillet and fry pike, best to gut it and grill it on a grate over a fire.
