It'll probably make my schedule super tight so I won't be able to be super active in IE like I have been in the past, but it would put me in a better financial situation, which could help me contribute more to the movement
Hmm. I would say grades (and actually learning something) are most important, but if you can pull off the job also, why not?
Ya, that's what I thought, too. But, apparently, students who work during college, on average, get higher grades.
Is there a way you can make money on side, casually, be your own boss?
Flipping garage sale finds on eBay?
"easy money" kind of stuff is always a lot harder than it sounds
*i mean there's always crypto* 🤤
@fgtveassassin The comment section is a <:whitepill:439924104406106113> for sure.
If you can do the job without sacrificing school at all, do it
Also kinda depends on your major. If you're in STEM where the classes are going to be super intense, it's a bigger deal to work
True, but I kinda need money now
Is the job related to your degree?
Well, I don't have one yet
But probably not
Well would it be?
Doubtful
Maybe you could get a paid internship
I haven't taken any advanced classes
Oh ok
And I already get financial aid
Dude don't get on foodstamps unless you really need it
You'll feel like a loser
idk
I've heard an argument that white people need to take advantage of the system more, because if we don't, we'll just be subsidizing someone else instead
@V.Balboa - PA it's @Gibson
Yeah there's an argument that we pay for it so we have a right to it
what
Youth server leader is now summoned
But I guess it's up to your conscience. I was on foodstamps years ago when I was living pay check to pay check and I felt like the biggest piece of crap in the world
How can I be of service
I don't think I am eligible anyway
I got off and made it work one way or another
I just looked it up
Ah ok
@V.Balboa - PA Whats up borther
See, the thing is, my issue isn't so much that I don't have money, it's more that I don't want to dig into my savings, because I want to immediately be self sufficient when I'm done with college
I reckon you just have to figure what you can handle, in terms of workload
And you gotta have a little time to relax or you'll go nuts
