Eh, they may be a minority but if I'm not mistaken the prevalent group in Iraq is Catholics of the Assyrian rite.

2018-09-19 22:27:43 UTC

That was the group that went from 19% of Iraq's population to 3% with ISIS.

2018-09-19 22:27:58 UTC

@Trashboat Dearborn must go.

2018-09-19 22:28:47 UTC

It sure doesn't look like any other city thats for sure

2018-09-19 22:29:07 UTC

@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaldean_Catholics here. They're called Chaldeans. They're all over Michigan.

2018-09-19 22:30:32 UTC

*nods* We have quite a few here in Florida, too. They even opened their own church right here in my town (Tallahassee).

2018-09-19 22:30:46 UTC

(the Coptics, I mean)

2018-09-19 22:31:33 UTC

@Procella Eques yeah man itโ€™s pretty impressive

2018-09-19 22:35:31 UTC

I'm messaging it to some facebook friends

2018-09-19 22:35:44 UTC

I don't think its quite facebook post but its message worthy certainly

2018-09-19 22:42:00 UTC

Itโ€™s pretty good. Dude has solid enough optics and demeanor that the poster thought he was the professor. Glad I shared it on here

2018-09-19 23:01:53 UTC

How often do you guys buy groceries?

2018-09-19 23:02:16 UTC

I just moved into an apartment alone and I'm figuring out how to do life

2018-09-19 23:02:40 UTC

Short answer: as often as you need to

2018-09-19 23:03:30 UTC

I guess the amount of trips I make isn't particularly important as long as I stay within budget, right?

2018-09-19 23:03:43 UTC

Me? My waifu does the shopping, usually once a week if you buy a few gallons of milk or whatever you use the most

2018-09-19 23:03:54 UTC

I keep realizing I forgot to buy something

2018-09-19 23:04:21 UTC

For example, I just realized I don't have a potato masher or a strainer

2018-09-19 23:04:42 UTC

Oh, like pots, pans, and utensils?

2018-09-19 23:04:55 UTC

At least you only have to get them once

2018-09-19 23:05:21 UTC

whenever you buy something, think: do I have the stuff to make this?

2018-09-19 23:05:22 UTC

I was trying to hold off on grocery shopping until Friday but this stuff is kinda important. Yes, kitchen stuff, but if I'm gonna go make a trip I might as well do next weeks groceries.

2018-09-19 23:08:09 UTC

Potato smasher, lol. Making your own mashed potatoes?

2018-09-19 23:08:35 UTC

Well, no, because I'm on keto, but mashed cauliflower

2018-09-19 23:09:12 UTC

That's why I didn't think about getting it earlier. I bought cauliflower, but a few days later I realized you can mash it like potatoes. It's really good, I did it with a fork yesterday.

2018-09-19 23:09:39 UTC

@Jacob I go grocery shopping almost every day after work, since it's extremely convenient for me to do so (store is next to my shop), and since I'm on a motorcycle it helps me be very picky and restrictive on what I buy. I know exactly how much/what I can pack in my bags to get home, and it prevents impulse buying. I also generally stick to just getting stuff on sale (BOGO), and that's what'll be for dinner for the next night or two.

2018-09-19 23:10:13 UTC

I have a store near by, too, but it WinCo is 1 hour 30 minutes away

2018-09-19 23:10:38 UTC

The stores near me aren't particularly bad (except Safeway, which is a rip off), it's just that WinCo has both an amazing selection and amazing prices

2018-09-19 23:10:58 UTC

Motorcycle grocery shopping = cope posting irl

2018-09-19 23:11:00 UTC

lol

2018-09-19 23:11:35 UTC

Is it unreasonable for me to spend that kind of time getting to a grocery store? The prices and selection are just too great to pass up

2018-09-19 23:11:51 UTC

I love it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ They know me so well at the store, that they even know exactly how to bag my items for me now so it'll fit in my m/c bags properly.

2018-09-19 23:11:54 UTC

Normally I'd put it off until later since I have homework, but tomorrow I'm trying to get a job interview, so I definitely won't have time

2018-09-19 23:11:55 UTC

I'd say yes if you are buying for a while.

2018-09-19 23:12:04 UTC

An hour and a half away? Dude...

2018-09-19 23:12:05 UTC

Yes to what?

2018-09-19 23:12:26 UTC

But 1.5 hours is pretty crazy. Gas alone might make up any difference you saved. :-p

2018-09-19 23:12:32 UTC

An hour and a half drive to get groceries? One way?

2018-09-19 23:12:43 UTC

I don't use gas, that's why it's so far ๐Ÿ˜‰

2018-09-19 23:12:48 UTC

I don't have a car
