the bus routes are extremely convenient and have stops at every Publix

2018-09-19 23:19:45 UTC

You should get an awesome bicycle with a ton of straps and metal baskets on it

2018-09-19 23:20:23 UTC

Like a mountain bike type thing

2018-09-19 23:20:27 UTC

Well, since you've had a similar experience in your early 20s, maybe a better question would be, in the mind of your 20 year old self, would my situation be acceptable? Obviously for a real adult with a real job this would be unthinkable, but what if you put yourself in the situation of college student version of you?

2018-09-19 23:21:06 UTC

Of course it's acceptable, I mean, you do what you gotta do to save money and feed yourself.

2018-09-19 23:21:22 UTC

It's acceptable because it's all you can do at the moment. It's not a bad thing--just going through that rough phase where even getting food is difficult

2018-09-19 23:21:43 UTC

But definitely find ways of being more efficient, like getting a bike

2018-09-19 23:21:53 UTC

The bus fare will cost the same soon, anyway

2018-09-19 23:22:10 UTC

Freedom of travel and independence does wonders for morale

2018-09-19 23:23:55 UTC

I used to sleep on my folded clothes on a hardwood floor and had no phone, tv, or internet, just a radioand a bible sitting on a desk I built out of scrap wood.

2018-09-19 23:24:56 UTC

Was 100%, easily, the most advantageous time in my life. never will I have the free time I had then for self reflection, learning, reading, etc

2018-09-19 23:25:31 UTC

It sucked, but man, I ran through reading lists like I was in prison or something

2018-09-19 23:25:43 UTC

Okay here's another question. Is there anything wrong with going shopping directly after going to the gym? Like, obviously I might smell a bit bad, but does anyone notice that when they're grocery shopping?

2018-09-19 23:26:10 UTC

Depends on *how bad* you sweat or smell

2018-09-19 23:26:17 UTC

Most people could get away with it

2018-09-19 23:26:42 UTC

I just lifted weights. Didn't do extreme cardio or anything.

2018-09-19 23:27:17 UTC

You're probably fine

2018-09-19 23:27:38 UTC

Just bring a shirt to change out of

2018-09-19 23:27:43 UTC

ya

2018-09-19 23:27:58 UTC

I changed my shorts for jeans. I'm not gonna go looking homeless or anything.

2018-09-19 23:28:10 UTC

Do you have access to a laundry machine at least?

2018-09-19 23:28:22 UTC

Or do you have to travel to a coin-op place?

2018-09-19 23:28:29 UTC

Because *that* sucks

2018-09-19 23:28:50 UTC

I have to walk across the street and use the coin laundry at the other apartment complex

2018-09-19 23:29:04 UTC

That's not too bad

2018-09-19 23:29:17 UTC

It's really no worse than the dorms in terms of laundry

2018-09-19 23:30:15 UTC

I don't even really live in an "apartment complex". I live in a mobile home. Not a trailer, but one of those houses that gets built from a kit and put on a truck. The apartment complex is owned by the same company which is why I'm allowed to use the laundry.

2018-09-19 23:32:14 UTC

Sounds pretty fun imo. Up in WA, living on your own, doing what you want, L-I-V-I-N

2018-09-19 23:32:45 UTC

Get a dog and a rifle and you got a nice apocalypse movie going

2018-09-19 23:33:04 UTC

Ya it's pretty nice

2018-09-19 23:33:16 UTC

I lived in a dorm last year

2018-09-19 23:33:42 UTC

I wasn't suffering or anything but it was pretty bad for the money

2018-09-19 23:34:46 UTC

Get a bike and larp like grocery trips are scavenging missions

2018-09-19 23:34:50 UTC

It'll make it more fun

2018-09-19 23:42:50 UTC

Please don't joke about anything illegal here

2018-09-19 23:43:11 UTC

Yeah PLEDGE

2018-09-19 23:43:54 UTC

I know it might seem heavy handed but we have to be careful in an organization like this

2018-09-19 23:47:05 UTC
