2018-09-24 19:16:17 UTC

How much groceries should I buy at a time?

2018-09-24 19:16:26 UTC

Still figuring out this living alone stuff

2018-09-24 19:17:07 UTC

I know I already talked about this but I keep realizing that there's something I don't have that I could use

2018-09-24 19:19:13 UTC

Do you mealprep @Jacob

2018-09-24 19:19:49 UTC

😳

2018-09-24 19:19:52 UTC

🤔

2018-09-24 19:20:03 UTC

n-no

2018-09-24 19:20:43 UTC

that sounds like it would take up more time than just buying whatever is on sale in large enough amounts to last me a week

2018-09-24 19:20:45 UTC

get essential spices like salt, pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, whatever else and some garlic and olive oil. then buy another spice or two each week and buy a different type of meat every few days/every week and progressively grow your pantry and learn basic stuff from the ground up

2018-09-24 19:21:29 UTC

@Max Bianco - NY I thought ypipo didn't use spices. 🤔

2018-09-24 19:22:15 UTC

well then if you wanna be extra huwhite, just boil your meat and skip all the spices

2018-09-24 19:22:42 UTC

@Deleted User "Anglos too to a lesser extent"

THIS IS SO SAD
CAN ANGLOS RISE UP?

2018-09-24 19:22:56 UTC

@Jacob I mealprep so I get everything I need Sunday then cook. Saves extreme amounts of time. Grab and go

2018-09-24 19:24:30 UTC

@Max Bianco - NY Are all those spices gonna come up in meals by themselves since they're so common, or should I look up what to do with them?

2018-09-24 19:25:09 UTC

Those spices will be useful literally every day.

2018-09-24 19:25:41 UTC

And if you add to the spice rack slowly, you'll have anything you need in due time.

2018-09-24 19:25:54 UTC

then its just replacing the most used spices when they get low

2018-09-24 19:26:06 UTC

@Jacob Yeah you'll use them. Don't be afraid to experiment, too. Deviate from the recipe. That's how you learn and mature as a cook.

2018-09-24 19:26:22 UTC

Trust me, I'm eyetalian

2018-09-24 19:26:52 UTC

Last time I did groceries I spent $34 on food total. Probably could have bought more tbh.

2018-09-24 19:27:09 UTC

Cumin is essential

2018-09-24 19:27:12 UTC

I was trying to do groceries for a week and it looked like so much stuff as I was buying it

2018-09-24 19:28:08 UTC

The only seasoning you need is pink salt and Frank's hot sauce

2018-09-24 19:28:35 UTC

@Valaska State tag checks out, but where's the ranch

2018-09-24 19:30:03 UTC

Ranch is a salad dressing and that is fed to my livestock

2018-09-24 19:31:42 UTC

I eventually want to learn to cook for that corresponds with my ancestry, but I probably should learn how to make food in general first. One step at a time.
