If you look at their other tweet they sometimes say they're in recess until a certain time but end up coming back earlier
well the vote is planned for tomorrow, but the final vote isn't until Monday
and now Dr. Ford's people are saying they want an unlimited, 1-week investigation by the FBI

They could do just about anything if they had the will
If he gets confirmed prior to Oct. 1 He can be in this session.
How does that work?
supreme court has sessions. If he's confirmed before the upcoming session then he's on for that session. If not then he has to wait until the next session to be on the court.
