I'm a huge advocate of strong leaders. Not necessarily to the point of cult of personality, but for a movement to succeed it's fundamental to have someone who can inspire.

Like James Allsup has said many a time, thought I doubt he was the first, follow ideas not people.

2018-09-29 07:22:57 UTC

I have had many a discussion with Patrick. Always I get a nuanced answer, free of the narcissism of the Spencer crowd. He really believes in this from the bottom of his heart.

2018-09-29 07:26:09 UTC

I would definitely agree with that statement in the current political climate

2018-09-29 07:26:20 UTC

Ideally we could follow people and ideas

As in, think for yourself, figure out who the best people are, and follow the guidance of those people. Of course, if the people betray the original ideas that got you to follow them, stop following them.

2018-09-29 07:29:01 UTC

Another way to put it would be follow ideas, use the ideas to find high quality people, and use the people to find more ideas

2018-09-29 07:30:28 UTC

I've actually heard someone say "follow people not ideas" which would be a disaster and is how we end up with guys like Trump fanboys who flip every time he flips like clockwork.

2018-09-29 07:31:17 UTC

As we have seen with the recent Trump cucking on this SC hearing.

2018-09-29 07:31:52 UTC

Trump is cool and all, but I would abandon him in a minute if he betrays the goals of his base.

2018-09-29 07:32:50 UTC

I have hopes for Steve King. He retweets Aunt Lana

2018-09-29 07:33:33 UTC

He could be the post-Trump nationalist candidate.

2018-09-29 07:35:35 UTC

Steve King is great

2018-09-29 07:35:52 UTC

@Jacob lmao at your name change

2018-09-29 07:36:18 UTC

Interested how Steve King and I came out with some pro-white quotes at almost the same time

2018-09-29 07:36:26 UTC

I wonder if this signals a change in direction

2018-09-29 07:36:57 UTC

I am hoping he can take Grassley's senate seat after retirement.

2018-09-29 07:37:19 UTC

oh ya I forgot he's House not Senate

2018-09-29 07:37:38 UTC

What is it with his district that makes it so based?

2018-09-29 07:38:03 UTC

Joni Ernst is young (and unfortunately the Koch-iest of the Koch-it's). So it sohld have to be Grassley

2018-09-29 07:38:48 UTC

Would Iowa as a whole elect him?

2018-09-29 07:39:23 UTC

95% white

2018-09-29 07:39:28 UTC

I have been to Ft. Dodge. Some injuns in the area but otherwise de facto ethnostate

2018-09-29 07:39:29 UTC

I wonder if I would enjoy living in a more rural area

2018-09-29 07:39:42 UTC

I'm definitely happy I moved to where I am right now

2018-09-29 07:40:03 UTC

semi-rural area in Eastern Washington

2018-09-29 07:40:08 UTC

well, I have lived in WA as well as IA. Iowa has better people but WA has more interesting environment.

2018-09-29 07:40:17 UTC

Eastern Iowa is pretty cucked to my understanding.

2018-09-29 07:40:22 UTC

the people here are okay

2018-09-29 07:40:35 UTC

here specifically, not Washington as a whole

2018-09-29 07:40:37 UTC

East has Cedar Rapids and Iowa City and waterloo

2018-09-29 07:41:05 UTC

Don't forget Des Moines.

2018-09-29 07:41:17 UTC

That isn't eastern

2018-09-29 07:41:17 UTC

How big in terms of population is Steve King's district in relation to the rest of Iowa?

2018-09-29 07:41:44 UTC

But yes sesmoines is very liberal. Iowa is a microcosm. There is a reason it gets first primary

2018-09-29 07:42:05 UTC

Very sparse. easily least populous district

2018-09-29 07:42:51 UTC

So if a moderate-left from De moines or thr Omaha suburbs or Ames ran against him it would be tougb

2018-09-29 07:43:16 UTC

I'm so glad Iowa passed a sanctuary city ban this year. They did it at just the right time.

2018-09-29 07:43:29 UTC

Tennessee did too.
