Well the way it works is that the total number of votes at the end of the election

Are divided by the number of candidates plus one I think

To make the quota

And any candidates who exceed it

Are automatically elected

And then the vote goes to the next round after the surplus redistribution

And the candidate in last place is eliminated

And so the votes of the eliminated candidate goes to those voters 2nd prefs

And then the cycle repeats itself with a new quota

And 3rd prefs

Until 9 candidates are elected

I see, So I just need to not be eliminated in the 1st or 2nd round

What happens to someone vote if they ranked two people 1?

I think it is invalid for that part of the ballot.
