Well the left has been in serious turmoil
For a long time
The left is splintered between three parties
It's definitely not unified
Yeah Labor, PUP, and Peace
is one of them more moderate?
They all seem like generic center left to left parties
the moderates are either Feds, indies, or whats left of alliance
well i don't really have a voter record since i just signed up (i think registered for FL), but if there are any vacant positions that need to be filled i could help out
Well i think there are Chamber of Delegates elections in the south in october
ok, i'll look into that, thx
also how do the conventions work?
i would like to help out with the platform if that's needed
you're looking at Atlasia's resident green libertarian-ish person!
@Deleted User what kind of platform changes would you suggest to make the feds more of a green-conservative party?
Am I Atlasia's resident middle ground could kind of fit anywhere person?
used to be LT until he became alt-right :P
so I guess it's you now!
@Deleted User one if the ways we had been tackling it was working towards repealing bad regulations while also pushing for environmentally friendly policies (ex. eco-tariffs)
I don't really think the Feds would be a green conservative party and really it's mostly a center-center right party. We aren't extreme conservative and already pretty green I think.
how would carbon taxes and subsidies/tax breaks for green infrastructure investment play with the fed base?
Tax breaks for green infrastructure would probably work good.
It's hard to tell where Atlasia stands on carbon tax.
we already have the carbon tax and the renewable energy rebate and subsidy act
Considering the a "left winger" in Fremont cut carbon taxes it's a confusing issue.
how about vertical farming/hydroponics?
That sounds like more of an environmental policy wonk thing.
I'm not alt right lol
when I was in the House the first time i sponsored the renewable energy rebate and subsidy act to provide incentives for people to invest in renewable energy, also worked with Scott on the carbon tax, worked with Haslam to hold companies accountable for polluting our freshwater sources (and got to sign all 3 into law as president). also wrote the save the bees act to ban certain insecticides known to kill natural pollinators
And Mr. Reactionary wrote a bill on environmental tariffs
yeah I mentioned the eco-tariffs lol
"how about vertical farming/hydroponics?"
hasn't been tackled that I'm aware of, but could be something to work on
Also @Deleted User i suggest you join the Fed Main Street Partnership https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=267449.0 and here's the current convention, you're free to sign in https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=302721.0
I also do a shit ton of animal welfare stuff but according to Peri those are useless feel good bills :(
