The point of rebranding would be to disassociate with the negative connotation of the Virginia rally, another option is to increase PR and change the public image of IE to forget that ever happened. Similar to how the Sweden Democrats use to be associated with WN 1.0 and now are more mainstream.
Dragons eyes is the threshold of esotericism. Can't do Celtic crosses, or black suns.
i think the founders of IE found a great combo of name and iconography tbh
I argued him away from this lmao
It's modern, sleek, and has great aesthetic colours. I see no reason to change anything, because changing our logo and name, means we're basically resetting all of our progress.
There is probably some Americana symbol we could appropriate instead of changing the name, that would kill two birds with one stone without the problems involved with name change
yea I don't think we should change frankly
No change either, we already reached peak optics with it, hard to improve off of Perfect
Change posters from Greco Roman to Norman Rockwell?
People who obsess over little details and symbolism are cancer
hmm, i see nothing about juice or masons with the dragons eye info
You can't fix perfect <:usinnoodle:420778112226164736>
Yeah he basically backed down from his position after I pointed out that he sounded like a nut with an irrational fear of triangles and that Koch was a awarded Lutheran Evangelist
@Asatru Artist - MD
Hudson School art (Beirdstat, Cole, Moran) is american in a euro tradition
I endorse Norman Rockwell imagery
Triangles are in nature. Hard to avoid them.
A fundemental of mathematics law
The dragons eye is so boring and plain that the overwhelming majority of people will probably not even notice it
I really do think our logo is perfect
I don't think think we should change the dragons eye logo. But it depends on what type of people we want to attract. Evropa is esoteric but we would attract a much smaller following but more intellectual types people. On the other hand if we changed our name to Identify Columbia or Americana it would be easier to market ourselves and we'd attract more normie tier people.
You’re nuts then. It’s the most boring logo imaginable
@Sherlock That's a good thing to be honest, our messages become more passive than anything
I'd say the <#359019439116648458> section proves people notice the logo just fine...
The dangerous thing with attracting normie-tier people, is that we would be heavily watered down
But like i said i think we’re probably better off just keeping what we have
The dragons eye is an essential part of our brand
Easy to draw as well
It isnt more essential than the name. It makes much more sense to change the logo to reflect new focus than to change the namr
Really easy to produce on flyers, edit on software, etc
It’s boring and nobody will ever remember it much less know that it’s a meaningful symbol
For all you christians the Chi Rho is a pretty cool symbol too just FYI
The whole point of a symbol is to be somewhat eyecatching and memorable
One IE member I know has a tattoo of it over his heart it's pretty badass
@Procella Eques Always found that symbol nice, something about it is a novelty
@The Eternal Anglo it has a lot of overlapping symbolism with egyptian pharoahs too, which I think is intentional
@Sherlock Why do you think it's boring? Could you provide an example that would be less boring and more aesthetic ?
I like the logo haha
I think its pretty sweet
