@Asatru Artist - MD they could. They could pack the courts with thirty judges and shoot down attempts by the state legislatures to prevent a constitutional convention. This is what happened in Poland just a few years ago and they had to scrap the constitution. The EU was really mad at them and it looked to me like they were plotting a color revolution but then at the last minute the Poles agreed to take a Jew on as their president to manage their Nationalist "problem." So mixed news on Kavanaugh confirmation: Heidi Heitkamp (Senator of ND, Democrat) just announced her No vote on Kavanaugh. The upshot is her re-election was teetering anyway so this No vote is her throwing away any pretention she might have had of being re-elected.

@ThisIsChris if she and other red state dems wanted to be reelected they would have not announced this or waited to announce. I think she and they have decided to stymie the vote and take jobs on K street after they get denied reelection
