ukip becoming a libertarian party isn't going to happen

2019-05-01 20:36:36 UTC

you can't say for sure

2019-05-01 20:36:58 UTC

leaders change, the party shifts

2019-05-01 20:37:06 UTC

look at labour

2019-05-01 20:37:22 UTC

also the membership has changed

2019-05-01 20:37:25 UTC

the UK should just be cratered tbh

2019-05-01 20:37:30 UTC

a lot of what is happening with Ukip reminds me of the history of the Progress party in norway. it did start out as a single issues party and when the founder did leave it, it did start the work to become a general party, that did make a lot of infighting in the party and several high profile people did leave but it did survive ended up growing

2019-05-01 20:37:31 UTC

too weak to live

2019-05-01 20:37:37 UTC

I think ukip has many more younger members than before

2019-05-01 20:37:42 UTC

might as well put it out of its misery

2019-05-01 20:38:01 UTC

Exactly that's what I'm saying

2019-05-01 20:38:03 UTC

every single power-player is against Brexit... deadline been amd gone - Brexit is dead in all but name

2019-05-01 20:38:13 UTC

and I mean I think UKIP does have a long term goal for 2022

2019-05-01 20:38:16 UTC

@Nordhand isn't that the right wing one that's part of the ruling coalition?

2019-05-01 20:38:40 UTC

as long as they stay the course, sure they'll hit bumps in the road but they'll get there

2019-05-01 20:38:45 UTC

not gonna happen

2019-05-01 20:38:52 UTC

brits care too much about optics

2019-05-01 20:39:01 UTC

how can you say for sure right now

2019-05-01 20:39:15 UTC
2019-05-01 20:39:24 UTC

We'll have to look at the by-election and locals to see whether that's true though

2019-05-01 20:39:30 UTC

the system is designed by the elite to keep the elite elite.

2019-05-01 20:39:40 UTC

optics are important

2019-05-01 20:39:44 UTC

that's why you torch the system

2019-05-01 20:39:50 UTC

anti-optics people are cucks

2019-05-01 20:39:56 UTC

optics are all Britain has left

2019-05-01 20:40:02 UTC

not even

2019-05-01 20:40:04 UTC

yup I hate how they messed up the the proportional representation debate

2019-05-01 20:40:08 UTC

I'm not anti-optics

2019-05-01 20:40:17 UTC

britain is a dying dog waiting to be put out of its misery

2019-05-01 20:40:19 UTC

I'm just saying optics isn't the be all and end all

2019-05-01 20:40:29 UTC

or at least the optics defined by the uk media

2019-05-01 20:40:36 UTC

but that did take ca 25-30 years to build up the party from the single issue to what it is now

2019-05-01 20:40:43 UTC

everyone except the optics lovers can see the writing on the wall

2019-05-01 20:41:07 UTC

optics have been replaced by virtue-signalling, which is abominable

2019-05-01 20:42:01 UTC

I just feel it was a mistake for ukip to focus so much on the eu elections

2019-05-01 20:42:10 UTC

they should of prioritised the locals

2019-05-01 20:42:43 UTC

eu presence is a bigger platform than locals

2019-05-01 20:43:10 UTC

atm EU is a huge issues with the brexit betrayals of may

2019-05-01 20:43:18 UTC

They want to send a message both the EU and Britain with limited resources - couldn't achieve that with local elections

2019-05-01 20:43:22 UTC

you're forgetting the brexit party

2019-05-01 20:43:27 UTC

which will split the vote
