ukip becoming a libertarian party isn't going to happen
you can't say for sure
leaders change, the party shifts
look at labour
also the membership has changed
the UK should just be cratered tbh
a lot of what is happening with Ukip reminds me of the history of the Progress party in norway. it did start out as a single issues party and when the founder did leave it, it did start the work to become a general party, that did make a lot of infighting in the party and several high profile people did leave but it did survive ended up growing
too weak to live
I think ukip has many more younger members than before
might as well put it out of its misery
Exactly that's what I'm saying
every single power-player is against Brexit... deadline been amd gone - Brexit is dead in all but name
and I mean I think UKIP does have a long term goal for 2022
@Nordhand isn't that the right wing one that's part of the ruling coalition?
as long as they stay the course, sure they'll hit bumps in the road but they'll get there
not gonna happen
brits care too much about optics
how can you say for sure right now
yea @galesteppes
We'll have to look at the by-election and locals to see whether that's true though
optics are important
that's why you torch the system
anti-optics people are cucks
optics are all Britain has left
not even
yup I hate how they messed up the the proportional representation debate
I'm not anti-optics
britain is a dying dog waiting to be put out of its misery
I'm just saying optics isn't the be all and end all
or at least the optics defined by the uk media
but that did take ca 25-30 years to build up the party from the single issue to what it is now
everyone except the optics lovers can see the writing on the wall
optics have been replaced by virtue-signalling, which is abominable
I just feel it was a mistake for ukip to focus so much on the eu elections
they should of prioritised the locals
eu presence is a bigger platform than locals
atm EU is a huge issues with the brexit betrayals of may
They want to send a message both the EU and Britain with limited resources - couldn't achieve that with local elections
you're forgetting the brexit party
which will split the vote
