odd thing to sign

2017-12-12 20:37:39 UTC

It's odd, it's not a normal thing to demand from speakers.

2017-12-12 20:37:54 UTC

and you have done these before?

2017-12-12 20:37:57 UTC

"Sign it because everyone does it."

2017-12-12 20:38:22 UTC

this looks completely standard to me

but it doesn't stop you from doing the same thing outside of a 100 mile radius

2017-12-12 20:38:34 UTC

Tim and others are claiming they never had to sign either in previous events where they were speakers.

2017-12-12 20:38:48 UTC

and?

which is mostly desert?

2017-12-12 20:39:02 UTC

that does not make it not standard

2017-12-12 20:39:51 UTC

Nor the claims of DanNobodyConway makes it standard.

2017-12-12 20:40:04 UTC

if you say so

2017-12-12 20:40:22 UTC

i just dont really care for mass misunderstanding

2017-12-12 20:41:10 UTC

He should have asked a lawyer or a paralegal

2017-12-12 20:41:31 UTC

before tweeting it out and making a potential ass of himself

2017-12-12 20:42:43 UTC

Tim had spoken at hacker conventions, where quite a few speakers are gray hats. Never had to sign NDAs and NCs.

2017-12-12 20:42:56 UTC

Sorry, Tim has more credibility than you.

2017-12-12 20:43:15 UTC

can you read?

2017-12-12 20:47:36 UTC

Dan, spit it out on specific lines instead of rhetorical questions please

2017-12-12 20:48:05 UTC

join the voice

2017-12-12 20:48:21 UTC

and this is just what i found on reddit

2017-12-12 20:48:42 UTC

i cannot confirm that this is the actual one Tim tweeted

2017-12-12 21:03:55 UTC

yeah that sounds entirely fair to me, and if the noncompete is standard boilerplate then that's what I would have expected as well

2017-12-12 21:04:08 UTC

Based Mama is an attention whore.

2017-12-12 21:04:19 UTC

it seems like Tim is as well

2017-12-12 21:04:35 UTC

he could have done this behind closed doors

2017-12-12 21:04:53 UTC

instead of potentialy derailing the entire event

2017-12-12 21:06:07 UTC

The one having to keep secrecy about guests is the organizers. They have to sign NDAs to protect their anonymity. Tim isn't any more able to reveal private information than any attendee.

2017-12-12 21:06:47 UTC

You sound a lot like the one guy on KiA shilling for the event.

2017-12-12 21:07:30 UTC

yes he is, if they're going to have panels where tim will sit next to someone with a hat+sunglasses

2017-12-12 21:07:35 UTC

and they'll probably have a green room

2017-12-12 21:07:39 UTC
2017-12-12 21:07:53 UTC

where people who want to remain anonymous to the public won't mind revealing themselves to the speakers

2017-12-12 21:09:45 UTC

operations, guests, and finances

2017-12-12 21:09:59 UTC

that is what the non disclosure covers

2017-12-12 21:10:17 UTC

and i am watching the video
