I gotta be missing something here
^
I wish I was swiss, but I don't know the intricacies of their system
three more articles on it
right
so basically they need to retcon their welfare system
I'll eat, then I'll dig into it a bit, because it seems interesting
so people who aren't citizens can't get welfare in the first place
No citizenship to people that receive government handouts? Sounds very racist of Sweden.
yeah I don't think they got welfare as such, but I have no idea
government handouts is a better term for this probably
I guess these Muslims ~~men~~ kids will have to be adopted to become citizens then.
Ahahahahaha
fuck yeah rape the arab world for money
*t e e n a g e r s*
I give it a light 7.
Prefer their older stuff.
"If you live in Switzerland, i.e. hold a valid Swiss residence or settlement permit (see list of questions on entries and stays in Switzerland) and meet the requirements, you will be entitled to receive unemployment benefits. Your nationality does not affect your entitlement to unemployment benefits."

you can't apply for citizenship while receiving those benefits apparently
also, you need to pass a written language test, and have lived permanently in switzerland for 5 or 10 years, depending on your country of origin
have no criminal convictions, "pose no threat to the country", and also "demonstrate social integration"
I believe that last requirement there is mostly done by getting neighbours and such to write a letter where they vouch for you
(the closest neighbour who is a citizen)
"Candidates must demonstrate A2 level writing ability and B1 spoken skills under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages."
"Most cantons and/or communes require you to face an interview to prove your integration and knowledge of Switzerland where you could be quizzed on anything from the number of lakes in your canton to which days are public holidays and the names of local traditions and festivals. In some cases a communal residents’ committee gathers to vote on your application, so it pays to keep in with the locals – last year a Dutch woman hit the headlines after she was turned down by her community for campaigning against cowbells (though she later won citizenship on appeal)."
canton is a district/county
this seems like a great system
It a REAL immigration system

"In the majority of bi-national marriages, the man is Swiss and the woman foreign, although Swiss women no longer lose their Swiss citizenship when they marry a foreigner (they did until 1992). "
rofl
I can see what they were trying to do but no
"The most bizarre aspect of this spectacle was that the Democrats who most aggressively defended Trump’s version of the surveillance bill – the Democrats most eager to preserve Trump’s spying powers as virtually limitless – were the very same Democratic House members who have become media stars this year by flamboyantly denouncing Trump as a treasonous, lawless despot in front of every television camera they could find."
