Corporations use state power to gain capital. Forcing them to use some of their money for the common good is not "forced charity", it's just expecting something in return.

My forced charity comment was in regards to individuals/families being forced to pay taxes (much higher under Socialism) to pay for others, not corporations.

High income earners benefit from corporate power. I'm not saying we should tax them to the point that they can't be rewarded for success, but there does need to be done taxation to support social programs.
