Tfw new mass basically got rid of all of the liturgy
Wow that church is beautiful
I would love to attend it
There's a church in my area, not in communion, used to be in the Archdiocese.
I only wish they weren't sedevacantists
I have an FSSP and SSPX near me
Thoughts?
My dude, I was considering going to Nebraska for seminary with the FSSP
Should have gone with it
Why didnt you do it
I wanted to stay closer to Mother Boston.
I'm a son of NewEngland.
The SSPX here is a bit more established, but once I move to AZ the biggest catholic church in the area is an SSPX
Most people there hate New Mass, even if that entails goijg to an excommunicated church
Is FSSP excommunicated ?
I've attended SSPX chapels before. They all seem broken.
FSSP is in full communion.
SSPX arent sedecavantists iirc though, they just dont believe some popes to be canonized
Like they think pope francis is technically the pope even though they go in direct rejection to the new mass
Right. Which is why I pray our Holy Father will allow it.
There is no reason that they shouldn't both mutually have dialogue.
Both can learn.
Popes have said before that the antendees of the church are catholics through and through its just their church itself they have grave issue with
They dont see it as a valid mass pretty much
The issue is about the original bishops; they are valid but illicit.
Even though it is the mass that was excersized for the entirety of the church before the introduction of novus ordo
They take issue with the bishops made by Lefebvre.
Have you researched the reasoning behind novus ordo
Yeah of course since he was excommunicated lmao
I have researched it, which is the primary reason why I left seminary. I couldn't, in good faith, dedicate myself to that I felt any sort of doubt in. At that time when I was 17, I had doubt. Lefebvre was an excellent bishop, he served long and true. He fell short in the end.
