@Bjorn - MD Yeah, I have no stake in it.

2018-10-14 05:14:35 UTC

@Ald I doubt they'd admit it.

2018-10-14 05:14:41 UTC

Yeah

2018-10-14 05:14:46 UTC

@Nemets Almaty was cool because they have soldiers in full battle rattle standing on quiet streets back to back to back: three dudes facing outward in a triangle. I've never seen anything like it.

In Tajikistan they had soldiers on the streets at night but they just kind of hung out.

2018-10-14 05:14:50 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Nah, I wasn't insinuating you did.

2018-10-14 05:15:10 UTC

That whole episode was just very unfortunate...

2018-10-14 05:15:38 UTC

I'm just a softie, in a sense. I see Spencer as a Shakespearean figure. Very flawed, full of wasted potential, brought down by their own choices.

2018-10-14 05:16:29 UTC

I wouldn't be surprised if an alt-Right HBO miniseries is being cooked up by the usual suspects.

2018-10-14 05:16:37 UTC

Dramatic, not documentary

2018-10-14 05:16:54 UTC

On a certain level respect is extended to anyone who puts his neck out for this but that doesn't mean they can do no wrong

2018-10-14 05:17:07 UTC

Yes, he did a lot of wrong.

2018-10-14 05:17:16 UTC

Maybe. I'm just reluctant to cut him much slack, because of the stakes, and the potential consequences of the resources and opportunities he squandered, to say nothing of the disrespect he showed to the people closest to him, even those who bled for him.

2018-10-14 05:17:57 UTC

@Bjorn - MD Yeah, I'm not making any excuses for that. I'm just pathologically altruistic. (why I should never be in top leadership)

2018-10-14 05:18:06 UTC

Lol

2018-10-14 05:18:49 UTC

Patrick is the real deal and is doing great things. This is the organization to be in, and I'm glad I was admitted.

2018-10-14 05:19:05 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Don't get me wrong; if there's scorn in my "voice" (typing?), it's obviously for him, not you. I hear ya, though. It's easy to become sentimental about people you identity with.

2018-10-14 05:19:20 UTC

I got ya.

2018-10-14 05:21:46 UTC

@Nemets Why ya askin' 'bout Kazakh Army garrisons? Plannin' a party...? 😏

2018-10-14 05:21:56 UTC

@Nemets Shylock? <:teehee:381917632359563264>

2018-10-14 05:22:19 UTC

@Nemets no just guarding the parts of town foreigners like

2018-10-14 05:26:41 UTC

It was just a low brow merchant joke.

2018-10-14 05:27:19 UTC

Your analysis is probably most correct. I've only read about 5 of Shakespeare's plays.

2018-10-14 05:35:47 UTC

@Gumbo - AZ it will be months at the very least but I will look for you when the time is right!

2018-10-14 05:38:31 UTC

hoping to be able to help IE quite a lot in this area, plus I've also worked in cybersecurity.

2018-10-14 05:38:56 UTC

@Nemets I did see the Bryan Cox / Ralph Finnes 'Corolianus.' And the Kenneth Branaugh 'Henry V'.
I've read Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar, Midsummer Night's Dream, Merchant of Venice, and Taming of the Shrew - Basically what High School and College mandated.

2018-10-14 05:39:24 UTC

@Nemets Saw the Kenneth Branaugh Hamlet. I liked Lion King better.

2018-10-14 05:39:38 UTC

(same plot)

2018-10-14 05:40:51 UTC

Isn't hamlet about a King killed by his brother, the prince having to figure it out thanks to ghost dad, with two wisecracking sidekicks?

2018-10-14 05:41:10 UTC

Gildencrantz and Rosensturn are Timon and Pumpa (sp)

2018-10-14 05:41:27 UTC

Although everyone dies at the end of Hamlet

2018-10-14 05:41:44 UTC

Yeah, Nala didn't get sent to the insane asylum, lol

2018-10-14 05:41:58 UTC

Isn't that what happened to Ophelia?

2018-10-14 05:42:04 UTC

Or nunnery

2018-10-14 05:42:22 UTC

Great scene from Henry V

2018-10-14 05:43:01 UTC

@Nemets I won't lie, I watched it back in 2006. An Ex was a huge Shakespeare fan

2018-10-14 05:43:37 UTC

I should get more in touch with English and European heritage and brush up on it, I suppose

2018-10-14 05:47:12 UTC

St. Crispian's day?

2018-10-14 05:53:43 UTC

@Nemets Yeah, flashier, but less well delivered.
