Or I switch to the net

2018-03-24 01:25:21 UTC

But most of them are too big and old to get "caught" either way

2018-03-24 01:25:32 UTC

Liable to pull you in if you hooked one

2018-03-24 01:25:48 UTC

i caught a catfish when I was a kid and before i hauled it up my brother warned me it has a defensive mechanism, and i fell for it thing cries just like a baby

2018-03-24 01:26:00 UTC

2018-03-24 01:26:06 UTC

I had one stick me with the fin once

2018-03-24 01:26:10 UTC

Never again

2018-03-24 01:26:13 UTC

i fish in a pretty big river, so it doesnt happen that often, but if i leave bait in the water when catfishing, they will find it sometimes and get hooked

2018-03-24 01:26:15 UTC

they dont sting up here

2018-03-24 01:26:23 UTC

Lucky

2018-03-24 01:26:29 UTC

2018-03-24 01:26:46 UTC

They don't try to hurt you, but they can

2018-03-24 01:26:56 UTC

the ones in manitoba that get to like 40+ pounds do

2018-03-24 01:27:10 UTC

@Deleted User You must not have big enough ones to worry about hooking them

2018-03-24 01:27:22 UTC

you guys fish?

2018-03-24 01:27:23 UTC

Count yourself lucky the elder ones have not found you

2018-03-24 01:27:30 UTC

Not that much anymore

2018-03-24 01:27:31 UTC

the small ones can get you, but the bigger ones arent as bad because their barbs or whatever usually become dull

2018-03-24 01:27:44 UTC

Did not know that

2018-03-24 01:27:56 UTC

serriously i will fight a badger with bare hands before i get near a snapping turtle

2018-03-24 01:28:51 UTC

i saw a massive one in Minnesota once, just chilling on a rock. It looked like a freaking dinosaur

2018-03-24 01:29:01 UTC

2018-03-24 01:29:26 UTC

They're smarter than you think

2018-03-24 01:29:40 UTC

2018-03-24 01:29:45 UTC

i have

2018-03-24 01:29:46 UTC

Most of the ones in the park I visit know not to go after hooks

2018-03-24 01:29:50 UTC

lol

2018-03-24 01:30:15 UTC

I've seen one drag a duck under once. Granted, it wasn't a very big duck, but still

2018-03-24 01:30:16 UTC

I've luckily never been in contact with a badger

2018-03-24 01:30:32 UTC

The ducks avoid certain ponds for that reason

2018-03-24 01:30:38 UTC

badgers are suuuuper dumb

2018-03-24 01:30:48 UTC

More balls than brains?

2018-03-24 01:31:20 UTC

you give them anything to fight and they will ignore you, even a turtle knows you are holding the stick

2018-03-24 01:31:30 UTC

lol

2018-03-24 01:31:53 UTC

they have 2 modes sleeping and imma go bite that

2018-03-24 01:32:21 UTC

2018-03-24 01:32:27 UTC
