I think both of them were right on wahabbi sunni islam being the main problem

2018-03-24 14:37:43 UTC

The Lord Pearson video is also good since he is actually talking with someone directly involved in UK politics and has been for a very long time.

2018-03-24 14:37:44 UTC

it's been a while since I watched it, so I can't remember his argumentation for discarding the hadiths. I don't recall what kind of reasoning he used, you'd have to look for the specific part

2018-03-24 14:37:46 UTC

About Islam

2018-03-24 14:40:05 UTC

Thing is, Islam must lose any and all protection status.

2018-03-24 14:40:10 UTC

oof

2018-03-24 14:41:00 UTC

Americans and their corruption of the word "liberal"

2018-03-24 14:41:05 UTC

Conservatives dont promote fear

2018-03-24 14:41:11 UTC

lol

2018-03-24 14:41:26 UTC

Moral panic originates from cons

2018-03-24 14:41:39 UTC

Videogames are evil

2018-03-24 14:41:49 UTC

That is a liberal position now.

2018-03-24 14:41:53 UTC

video games being evil

2018-03-24 14:41:57 UTC

especially that tic tac toe

2018-03-24 14:42:10 UTC

moral panic relating to tradition comes from the right, moral panic relating to all other things come from the left

2018-03-24 14:42:13 UTC

You are litterally encouragging xxx

2018-03-24 14:42:46 UTC

And since when cons dont demant conformity?

2018-03-24 14:43:04 UTC

Conservatism is supposed to be about the individual.

2018-03-24 14:43:25 UTC

I thought conservatism was preserving the old values

2018-03-24 14:44:05 UTC

It is about conserving specific old values, but they have always promoted being about "the individual"

2018-03-24 14:44:11 UTC

I mean like conservating the left over dinner

2018-03-24 14:44:39 UTC

rather than resort to stale bread for breakfast

2018-03-24 14:44:48 UTC

Just toast it

2018-03-24 14:44:59 UTC

Promoting critical thought

2018-03-24 14:45:18 UTC

nowadays they promote more critical thought then the left, imo.

2018-03-24 14:45:18 UTC

Sure, bible trumping is critical thought

2018-03-24 14:45:29 UTC

depends on how far back you go in history, and what nations you look at. Here conservatives were originally wealthy landowners, who wanted to keep their workers in tow. Classical liberals arose in opposition to these people.

2018-03-24 14:45:37 UTC

I've always thought religion relating to politics is retarded

2018-03-24 14:45:40 UTC

their values have shifted since

2018-03-24 14:46:00 UTC

they've adopted liberal ideals

2018-03-24 14:46:10 UTC

classical liberals were like center right AFAIK, right?

2018-03-24 14:46:19 UTC

they weren't really left wing?

2018-03-24 14:46:46 UTC

Hence in a fair few countries with old political parties their right wing parties are called "liberal" parties.

2018-03-24 14:47:05 UTC

Since they are using old/nonamerican terminology

2018-03-24 14:47:50 UTC

that's why I called the american term "liberal" a corruption

2018-03-24 14:48:08 UTC

Yeah but some seem under the impression that a classical liberal is left wing

2018-03-24 14:48:48 UTC

the entire ideal basis of our democratic societies are founded on liberal values.

2018-03-24 14:48:59 UTC

honestly I kinda find distinctions unnecesarry because everything should be based on case by case basis. Problem is people find commonground on case by case basis and hold certain viewpoints hostage into 2 sides. Like I bet people are alot more purple than they are red or blue.

2018-03-24 14:49:01 UTC
