>According to Liang Jieming, two Song dynasty generals by the name of Yue Yifang and Feng Jisheng (馮繼升) invented a variant fire arrow which used gunpowder tubes as propellant. However more documentary evidence of rockets does not appear until the 13th century.
Yeah I could be wrong here but last time I saw info on it, the idea is that exploding arrows were taken in India and the Indians had the idea of packing all the bomb into metal and making what people would today see as a rocket
Also gotta admit spinnign sword rockets are cool af
But yeah I think these are sometimes considered the first rockets because they exploded
Why would you attach a sword to that?
whereas the earlier ones were just arrows that flew faster
Fuck man
why not put swords on everything
Anywhere my only point here is that the meme really does not give a fair shake to Asians
The fucking *plow* was apparently invented in China
It would probably make it slower
and Steppe horse people(Iranians or Turks or Mongols) appear to have invented hte wheel
Yeah it probably would, though I could also see it being an early understanding of ballistics
"If we put pointy shit at the end of our bombs, they fly straighter"
"put a fuckin' sword on it, Rajneesh, see if that helps"
>Arrows are for sissies, real men throw swords!
They had rockets in the Napoleon era
They were shit
And not widely used
More accuracy
More common metertial
Have have gunpowder
And everything else needed might as well use a Cannon
Yeah definitely cannons were better
Though the first version of everything is going to be pretty shit
Took like 400 years for guns to be anything other than cheaper, shittier bows
Yup
I figure that the rockets were more shit to scare the shit out of horses
The swords probably made a spooky woosh noise too
Yeah they screamed like fireworks do
But military fireworks
Also I figure the real reason why black people never invented much other than the very earliest techs like spears is mainly because of mosquitos and tstse flies
Recalling the video I posted earlier, it's interesting how the Germans had to mix water in so the rocket fuel didn't melt the engines on the V2.
I feel like that could have also ended in disaster
what with bubbles
Course rockets are fucky things
Like the first(and only) rocket plane the germans fielded
