if you decide to an essay, i'd be interested in reading it

2018-03-28 00:14:27 UTC

for sure

2018-03-28 00:36:23 UTC

@Werlf This really needs a LOT more inventions from Indians and Asians an Arabs

2018-03-28 00:37:02 UTC

Considering nearly all agricultural messages, as well as written language in general, originates from Egypt, Iraq, the Indus Valley, and China

2018-03-28 00:38:25 UTC

>when Nature magazine published a sketch of science in the Arab world in 2002, its reporter identified just three scientific areas in which Islamic countries excel: desalination, falconry, and camel reproduction.

2018-03-28 00:38:46 UTC

asians and indians can come back when they invent the steam engine...

2018-03-28 00:38:55 UTC

Bit unfair to only count the last few centuries.

2018-03-28 00:38:59 UTC

or the computer...

2018-03-28 00:39:23 UTC

I mean rockets were invented in India IIRC

2018-03-28 00:39:52 UTC

yeah but they didnt quite make it to the moon

2018-03-28 00:40:12 UTC

Well the country that got to the moon wasn't 100% euro either

2018-03-28 00:40:15 UTC

Wasn't it China?

2018-03-28 00:40:22 UTC

China was gunpowder

2018-03-28 00:40:26 UTC

look up Mysore Rockets

2018-03-28 00:40:35 UTC

Korea had them too

2018-03-28 00:40:53 UTC

>In 1300 Mongol mercenaries in India are recorded to have used hand held rockets.

2018-03-28 00:40:56 UTC

Basically these were the first rockets to not just be arrows with explodey bits on them

2018-03-28 00:40:59 UTC

Doesn't look like they invented rockets.

blocking Vee is how you can tell JF is high IQ

2018-03-28 00:41:37 UTC

>According to Liang Jieming, two Song dynasty generals by the name of Yue Yifang and Feng Jisheng (馮繼升) invented a variant fire arrow which used gunpowder tubes as propellant. However more documentary evidence of rockets does not appear until the 13th century.

2018-03-28 00:41:55 UTC

Yeah I could be wrong here but last time I saw info on it, the idea is that exploding arrows were taken in India and the Indians had the idea of packing all the bomb into metal and making what people would today see as a rocket

2018-03-28 00:42:18 UTC

Also gotta admit spinnign sword rockets are cool af

2018-03-28 00:43:27 UTC

But yeah I think these are sometimes considered the first rockets because they exploded

2018-03-28 00:43:27 UTC

Why would you attach a sword to that?

2018-03-28 00:43:37 UTC

whereas the earlier ones were just arrows that flew faster

2018-03-28 00:43:46 UTC

Fuck man

2018-03-28 00:43:54 UTC

why not put swords on everything

2018-03-28 00:44:27 UTC

Anywhere my only point here is that the meme really does not give a fair shake to Asians

2018-03-28 00:44:39 UTC

The fucking *plow* was apparently invented in China

2018-03-28 00:44:46 UTC

It would probably make it slower

2018-03-28 00:44:50 UTC

and Steppe horse people(Iranians or Turks or Mongols) appear to have invented hte wheel

2018-03-28 00:45:09 UTC

Yeah it probably would, though I could also see it being an early understanding of ballistics

2018-03-28 00:45:21 UTC

"If we put pointy shit at the end of our bombs, they fly straighter"

2018-03-28 00:45:30 UTC

"put a fuckin' sword on it, Rajneesh, see if that helps"

2018-03-28 00:46:14 UTC

>Arrows are for sissies, real men throw swords!

2018-03-28 00:46:21 UTC

They had rockets in the Napoleon era

2018-03-28 00:46:42 UTC

They were shit
