@Finesse its funny cause you know that this is exactly how some guys got laid. Took something they wanted to do and wrapped it in female "empowerment"

2017-07-01 06:11:21 UTC

that said I don't know much about the NAP so if I'm unknowingly arguing in favor of it please enlighten me

2017-07-01 06:11:22 UTC

but why is social freedom a goal if it isn't virtuous? shouldn't a functioning society be a higher goal?

2017-07-01 06:11:27 UTC

ok

2017-07-01 06:11:40 UTC

"Trust me, sweetheart, if it wasn't for the patriarchy you'd be able to share me with your girlfriends."

2017-07-01 06:11:56 UTC

the patriarchy is gay

2017-07-01 06:12:18 UTC

the NAP implies that as long as you don't violate other's freedoms you may do as you please. this only functions off of the premise that the NAP, and by proxy, social freedom, is inherently virtuous

2017-07-01 06:12:34 UTC

sure, i guess I agree with the NAP then

2017-07-01 06:12:50 UTC

so in doing that you /do/ think freedom is inherently a virtue

2017-07-01 06:12:55 UTC

sure

2017-07-01 06:13:11 UTC

@Guan the (((NAP))) was the best thing I woke up from, it only works if the behaviors people engage in are not harmful to the society which creates that freedom in the first place

2017-07-01 06:13:14 UTC

I mean i'm highkey a hedonist so take that with a grain of salt

2017-07-01 06:13:42 UTC

exactly @Anarchyng i was ancap then i took the traditionalist pill

2017-07-01 06:13:47 UTC

I

2017-07-01 06:14:10 UTC

fuck traditionalism

2017-07-01 06:14:16 UTC

but yeah i don't think freedom is the highest moral good, i think that a society should be going for other goods

2017-07-01 06:14:22 UTC

*still an anarchist, but i know that if it is possible to have a stateless society it would only be with extreme traditionalism for lack of a better word

2017-07-01 06:14:22 UTC

why fuck traditionalism?

2017-07-01 06:14:29 UTC

yes i agree

2017-07-01 06:14:53 UTC

which is why i think it's only necessary to culturally discourage rather than to outlaw

2017-07-01 06:15:00 UTC

traditionalism implies that it is virtuous to do something just because it's traditional

2017-07-01 06:15:05 UTC

no

2017-07-01 06:15:08 UTC

it decries progress

2017-07-01 06:15:12 UTC

the tradition is there because it has been tested

2017-07-01 06:15:18 UTC

can i define what it means to me RAF?

2017-07-01 06:15:22 UTC

sure

2017-07-01 06:16:18 UTC

in my mind traditionalism is shorthand for returning to old society where christendom, pre-sexual revolution values, and objective morality are enforced. that can mean a lot of things, of course.

2017-07-01 06:16:32 UTC

>pre sexual revolution

2017-07-01 06:16:41 UTC

yes i think it was a mistake

2017-07-01 06:16:43 UTC

I think values before the sexual revoluton were worse

2017-07-01 06:16:49 UTC

i disagree

2017-07-01 06:17:01 UTC

and I mean the issue is that you're using "traditionalism" to refer to one specific tradition

2017-07-01 06:17:16 UTC

I might just as well say that traditionalism is african tribalism

2017-07-01 06:17:23 UTC

because that's also a tradition

2017-07-01 06:17:27 UTC

this is what a lot of traditionalists generally mean, as in western christendom

2017-07-01 06:17:44 UTC

well in that case I think christian traditionalist would be a better term

2017-07-01 06:17:48 UTC

sure

2017-07-01 06:17:57 UTC

it just turns off atheists more if i do that

2017-07-01 06:18:03 UTC

lol that's true

2017-07-01 06:18:04 UTC

Yall boys ever fucked a girl in the pooper?

2017-07-01 06:18:08 UTC

but i guess it turns off most people
