Yesteryears strife was Racial Polarization that was implicitly politicial, we are seeing political polarization that is implicitly racial - hard to frame it as "civil rights" given that dynamic and the fact that really all reasonable rights have been bestowed to blacks in this country.
I am expecting 2020 to be an absolute shitshow in terms of political violence. The left is going to come out swinging at things like, MAGA trump rallies and regular GOP functions.
Civil rights movement was a reference to when the blacks rioted in the 60’s and how the polarization was more extreme but slightly different. Afaik he wasn’t framing today’s political scene as civil rights
