@Omsomething on that level I sincerely think most of us fall into that. At least to some degree. Like, the way I would put it is as much as people criticise governments and will rant about how shit they are. Deep down they believe these people MUST know something we don't, they MUST be the adults in the room. Else why are they there?

I am not sure it is distressing, it is just humans being humans. Personally i think most all want to do the right thing but some are just very sick puppies with warped idea on what is right and what is not.
Is why systematic way of handling things is so important for the future me thinks.
the distressing part was just observing how clique and back biting emerges. Basically, all the shit Kids do at school and then grow out of, is rampant. That did distress me a bit because there sincerely are a shit load of people who would never be allowed in politics who act more grownup

To me his argument seemed to be "You can see transgenders from brainscans and thus it is not any sort of illness or defect" which could be seen as a bad argument.
