@vapefruit The problem with Linux (from a Redhat 7.3 to modern Ubuntu user) is that Linux constantly breaks things that were working. It is a lot better than 10 years ago, but recently I was afraid to use apt-get ugrade on my machine because I knew something important would break for my dev setup. In the end I imagine the machine and decided to deal with the fallout

And know the basics of how a (L)Unix system works.

2018-06-07 18:20:51 UTC

2018-06-07 18:21:55 UTC

@vapefruit NOPE! I haven't had an application break in over 15 years mate as long as it was using the proper Windows APIs

2018-06-07 18:22:40 UTC

@Deleted User that's great, I wish I could say the same.

2018-06-07 18:23:03 UTC

@vapefruit also I've used other unix system like FreeBSD and OpenBSD which don't have massive regressions

2018-06-07 18:23:08 UTC

My parents use also Windows.

2018-06-07 18:23:58 UTC

Are they gone?

2018-06-07 18:23:59 UTC

@vapefruit what applications didn't work, because I hear this claim and 99% of the time they are applications that assumed they were running on a certain version of windows or they are games ... which do the same thing

2018-06-07 18:25:47 UTC

Just use mac, best system

2018-06-07 18:25:54 UTC

*Popcorn*

2018-06-07 18:25:56 UTC

It is based on BSD afaik.

2018-06-07 18:26:21 UTC

@EmEm I use a mac most of the time.

2018-06-07 18:26:21 UTC

@Deleted User that's usually the problem with them breaking

2018-06-07 18:26:54 UTC

It actually worked, congrats for it

2018-06-07 18:27:00 UTC

@Deleted User we had a lot of cams break due to the windows anniversary update.

2018-06-07 18:28:22 UTC

I think Apple charges you like 2 times the price just for being an Apple product

2018-06-07 18:28:56 UTC

2018-06-07 18:29:38 UTC
