Ur dink
what is going on here
Time can be divided to no end and matter cannot, there is a point where you cant split it, like there cant be half of a quark
what is this arguemney
Is what im asuming he is saying
Right
Yeah they think. But things like GR say nothing about matter, it says something about space
And time
well no the atom is the smallest unit of matter because a unit ascribes measurable qualities
you cannot measure the subatomic
completely
Wrong
W R... O... N. G <:trump:402385775200829440>
You can by shooting beams of light into it
you can measure indivual qualities but not all at once
That’s partially true but you can say the same for an atom
well i guess you can measure protons and netrons
Though the uncertainty principle makes it a range
but for all intents and purposes the atom is the smallest relvant unit
Relevant for what
True
theres a pretty interesting podcast on the subatomic world from this guy called "talk to a spaceman" called "the particle zoo" that talks about the subatomic particles
like 20 min
That stuff is pretty cool
I think alphonsus left 😦
<:bigbrain:418140857242484757>
very digestable
the guy has got a gay voice, but to just get the content, its not bad, my dad introduced me to it and ive been listening recently
Originally this was about the aristotelian proof for the existence of god that Aquinas wrote about
oof lol
cool
where was the disagreeance is there a pagan in here?
or some ugly atheist
And we reached a point where I didn't find it convincing because to me it's also plausible that things can have an infinite series of causes whether it's linear in time or sustaining, hierarchical causes
I don’t think there was any disagreement just talking about how infinities can be applied to the world
Fuckin nerds
I am still here, reading it, doing some other research. I like the subject, it just isn't my strong area.
hierarchical causes refer for example to how my keyboard is able to be 3 feet off of the ground because it's held up by the table which is held up in turn by the floor etc
Son of a Banker is an atheist, however.
