The gay bug is spreading into culture now. <:sad:366743316475281408>

2018-10-22 21:03:04 UTC

@Jacob Ah, I'm following you then

2018-10-22 21:03:48 UTC

Oof

2018-10-22 21:04:49 UTC

Right, I'll entertain the idea if there's actually something to it, but can it account for homosexuality across all species?

2018-10-22 21:06:12 UTC

That question feels weird to say, obviously not

2018-10-22 21:06:57 UTC

seems quite unlikely, and dare I sound like a leftist for a moment, motivated

2018-10-22 21:07:04 UTC

My qualms with that theory, specifically the notion that homosexuality is caused by Toxoplasmosis, is that there are countries where the majority of the population has toxoplasmosis yet the majority of the population isn’t homosexual.

2018-10-22 21:07:13 UTC

I might not be understanding it correctly though.

2018-10-22 21:07:15 UTC

That could be social pressure

2018-10-22 21:07:27 UTC

Like, they have a lot of gays, but they're all in the closet

2018-10-22 21:08:07 UTC

I mean like 90% of the population has toxoplasmosis.

2018-10-22 21:08:48 UTC

@Jacob if you follow this account: https://twitter.com/usedtobeaninja you can then join the Meme Room

2018-10-22 21:08:50 UTC

I’ve heard it before, it was in one of the subtweets as well.

2018-10-22 21:09:08 UTC

Prager U is not having a good day in the comments under its last vid

2018-10-22 21:09:36 UTC

@Gene I'll give you a follow

2018-10-22 21:09:49 UTC

@ophiuchus I mean... it can't be *that* hard to suppress a fetish, can it?

2018-10-22 21:10:38 UTC

In Recife, in Brazil, 77.5% of the population has toxoplasmosis. There is literally no way that 3/4 of the population there is homosexual.

2018-10-22 21:11:02 UTC

I think the idea is that homosexuality is a symptom, not something guaranteed to happen

2018-10-22 21:11:33 UTC

@Sam Anderson the YT comments are supportive weirdly

2018-10-22 21:11:42 UTC

Twitter is a bloodbath

2018-10-22 21:11:47 UTC

As usual

2018-10-22 21:11:50 UTC

The theory that homosexuality is spread through child abuse seems like the most likely

2018-10-22 21:11:51 UTC

In the United States, 7.7% of the population has toxoplasmosis. I guarantee there are more gay people here.

2018-10-22 21:12:07 UTC

It can't just be a coincidence that everyone knows a gay person who was abused

2018-10-22 21:12:11 UTC

I don’t believe there’s any single cause of homosexuality.

2018-10-22 21:12:18 UTC

It's crazy how common it is

2018-10-22 21:13:00 UTC

I don't have any close gay friends, but I've talked to people who were close with a gay person, and once they gain my trust, they always tell me about how their friend was abused

2018-10-22 21:13:29 UTC

Maybe gays are just MGTOW to the extreme? 🤔

2018-10-22 21:13:29 UTC

I’d assume there were multiple causes of that as well.

2018-10-22 21:13:48 UTC

I believe JF goes over the gay gene claims recently

2018-10-22 21:13:53 UTC

went over*

2018-10-22 21:13:54 UTC

When you become so woke you turn into Elton John

2018-10-22 21:14:58 UTC

I’m nearly certain homosexuality is caused by disparate sources- not least the social capital that you get by claiming to be gay.

2018-10-22 21:15:12 UTC

Or bisexual, meaning heterosexual but wants woke points.

2018-10-22 21:15:46 UTC

The two sources he claims there are something akin to narcolepsy, and toxoplasmosis.

2018-10-22 21:16:02 UTC

Here's a summary of the gay gene thing

2018-10-22 21:16:43 UTC

There's a certain gene that makes people attracted to a particular body part. When found in the correct gender, this gene just makes people want to have a lot of sex. But when in the other gender, it makes them gay.

2018-10-22 21:16:51 UTC

This is why it hasn't been bred out yet.

2018-10-22 21:17:14 UTC

Plausible, for sure.

2018-10-22 21:18:47 UTC

I need to do one of the DNA tests that allows you to upload data to codegen.eu

2018-10-22 21:19:25 UTC

It's really cool. The website tell you what behaviors you're predisposed to, what diseases you might develop, all kinds of stuff
