Tend to agree that this is going to take some time
I think its entirely unrealistic to expect that friend. Lots of smart people in the dissident right dont do much outside of talk to the same people & the same audience.
Idk about three generations of time, but it's not going to happen over night
@Koba Oh, my family is prepared for any bizarre turn of events. I'm just not expecting (nor advocating) any Ron Paul It's happening . jpg
The main thing is that we're actually working towards making real changes. Tbh I'm getting really tired of the accelerationist types
It's human nature: the easiest way to gain resistance to something, is to try to force it on people.
They need to be presented with the ideas and allowed to decide for themselves if they'll accept it and support it.
I think a good walk outside of the dissident echo chamber can do loads of good
Some people get way to deep into this stuff and it becomes all they identity with
@Kingfish This is very true.
@Kingfish I purposefully listen to NPR and some center-left and civic-libertarian, as well as radical environmenalist media. To avoid "echo Chamber"
Oh. . NPR. . The feminism on that station is thick! Whew! I also listen to the opposing side to study and learn. @Wood-Ape - OK/MN
I don’t mean listening to more than right wing media I moreso mean just engaging in every day life not looking at it through the radical lens
@The Morrígan Yeah, it's good to listen to on the drive TO the gym. to get you angry lol
we get it u like football
NPR is basically the lefts version of the dissident right echo chamber except not quite as severe sometimes
Terry Gross certainly has a face for radio
@Natasha - PA watch it
@Natasha - PA watch it
@Koba NPR is normie-left. The Left equivalent of TRS/etc is Chapo Trap House
Yes. It is healthy to do so. It can also be very frustrating if done too much. I have also had to find the balance. @Kingfish
eh I suppose
NPR is absolutely not dissident left
It's Civnat mirrored
Hell Yeet
Personally, I don't really have a desire to integrate outside of those that are like me. It's demonstrating in group preference. I think if someone feels isolated, then it is good to talk it out with your IE fam and see just what the source is.
hows everyone doing tonight
I think it can be unhealthy to isolate yourself outside of strict ideological peers
Im pretty toasty & comfy rn @Brunswick hbu
@Brunswick thick, solid, tight
We’re supposed to represent the normal every day white American and look out for them as one of them not see them as an other because they aren’t “our guy”
about to go out for some debauchery @Brunswick
But aren't we capable of doing what every "normie" does? I dont feel we are THAT different from any other group. The mainstream wants us to feel isolated and I revolt that. @Kingfish
(safe and legal debauchery, *of course*)
Yes, I agree that we shouldn't isolate others necessarily. There's no room to gain others like us if we assume them to always be outsiders. @Kingfish
I’m not really saying ie members, I’m referring to the dissident movement as a whole
I understand.
@John O - He wasn't asking about your weightlifting session 😂
