I know one of our <@&488531212437159936> was saying he likes to play chess
*Koba is typing*
I would love to sharpen up my chess skills
Truly a thinking European's game
@Koba Can we get teaser trailer for your comment, maybe a little hint what year it's coming out?

I absolutely adore chess. I haven't lost the last 30 games I have played. I have been hoping to lose to somebody to be honest
@Sacramento Mfw to smart too lose at chess
@Tyler0317 does chss boxing actually... like... work well as a sport? I have a feeling it would be lopsided in skills for one or the other skillset
@The Eternal Anglo I'm probably not that good, more likely the people I played suck. But I haven't lost in a long time
@ThisIsChris Thats the beauty of it.
Chess Boxing rewards a well rounded man.
Instantly saved. Thank you.
@Tyler0317 great quote, something else came up with Thucydides recently
Agreed@Deleted User
Being intelligent is of little value without masculine virtue.
@Tyler0317 Thucydides is a central part of this article @Koba posted on Wednesday https://americanmind.org/essays/our-revolutions-logic/

lol
I saved it. That too heavy of a read for 2 am.

Nietzche got the ball rolling on many questions that needed to be asked.
I heard some misguided fellows declaring neech as being some kinda pro-feminist
While a quote of his stated something about keeping a whip handy while working with women
At an IE conference in 2020: "Some say Koba is gone. Vanished. Like a lost dog never to be seen again. But I reckon he's out there somewhere, still typing to this day."
What he shouldn't be, is A one stop shop for philosophical wisdom.
Nietzche, that is
Sadly you have to look to greats in the world of philosophy because it's those few everyone else looks to
People really misrepresent Nietzsche as just being a nihlist
Almost all politics and philosophy (everything really) is simplified for mass consumption
People who really know neech is that he was sickly A LOT of the time which was what a lot of his negativity stemmed from
I try to not appreciate philosophers for their answers, but rather for the questions they ask.
IMO, way too many people attempt to describe themselves as having a "Nietzschean" worldview(Spencer).
I don't see that Nietzsche had particularly distilled worldview.
He was a very useful contrarian, who had some pointed criticisms for his society and Western Civ as a whole.
we can certainly see he was valid in being worried about the world post-god
Wow, I'm a Democrat now
