b/c the internet has grown exponentially since then
Theoretically, the Right could have a pure FOS platform if they 1.owned their own Domain Registrar 2. owned their own bank or credit union, but even then CC companies (not processors, companies) could refuse to work with them.
Notably, a few months ago Robert Spencer (not Richard) of ShariaWatch was denied CC processing through either Discover or Mastercard.
In other words: "The Right" would have to create an entirely new financial backbone which operates on an entirely separate global internet backbone, recognized by every country of the world. It's just not possible with any amount of money thrown at it, so long as politics and media reject it
This sort of thing should be opening people's eyes to the dangers of globalism, btw.
@Papa Pizzagate Yeah, but, and not to wax nihilistic here, what good does it do to found all of the entities necessary for a FoS platform if there are anti-discrimination laws in the place that *guarantee* that parties likely to subvert it, too, will inevitably find their way into management...? 😑
Just moaning to moan. Obviously, something does have to be done.
What if we just make our own internet?
@Logan it's honestly really weird how the magabomber, the shooting, Gab shut down happened all in the same week leading up to the midterms. It's extremely sketchy.
🤔
I think that would really alleviate all the issues we see tbh
<:coolpepe:366743374105018368>
Especially since gab was doing well with the support for bolsonaro and all that.
Anyways...this DNS host discussion just reminds me of the theories about how the USA will come to a screeching halt: when we're attacked electronically by just merely taking down the few DNS hosting services.
I doubt it would be that easy though
tbh
I went to the air force recruiter a couple weeks ago and they are really pushing for cyber people
everything is connected to the internet, and very few people nowadays know how to use it without typing a domain name. They don't even know about how to use the internet by merely typing IP addresses.
Hey guys . . I have an idea . . What if we eventually moved AWAY from the dependency of the internet and had on-the-ground connections so strong that we worried less and less about our platforms being broken? @Bjorn - MD @Phillip Wiglesworth - FL
I don't really know anything about any of it, I just feel like it's not going to be super easy or fast for that to happen.
Stop dividing the movement bro

@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL TOR doesn't have DNS problems. It also can't be DDOSed. I think one of the reasons the globalists mock TOR is that it is actually very effective technology for connecting people in a way that can't be taken down.
Bro. A lot of the activism that I've done was done in a car . . Traveling and meeting people face to face. It was small few that created a massive. . Even international web of connections. @Trashboat
Bruh that was sarcasm
I even added a pepe
smh
Oh. Hahahaha
Ok. Pepe makes it all better.
Thanks pepe.
👍
I think a nice idea for our members would be to focus on their personal "IE travel savings" . . .
Save a few bucks every paycheck
^
And for the rich members to pay for my plane tickets so I can go to every rally.
