older males: very real question: please serious answers. If I have an engineering degree lined up, junior year of college, don't have a locked down job post grad... I love this girl, she's perfect for me. But I feel like less of a man going to her father with a proposal that doesn't include a guaranteed income to take care of his daughter. I feel like that I should wait until I have graduated and successfully landed a real job before proposing. I have been with this girl since I was 16 and she was 16, we're 20 and 21 now, she's cool with all my political and domestic beliefs. Can I bring a good faith proposal to her father without the guarantee of income to support his daughter? I lean no, but she wants to get married (Catholic.)

naw, we've already talked about how the wedding would be with a mixture of catholic and protestant rituals. I would be wearing my IE pin, my section would be Confederate regalia, etc.
