i think he's trying to confuse things by bringing multiple causes, it's largely just corporations putting money in govt and betraying the nation, not to mention the massive govt debt, and how china is rising up (a lot of empires fall because of pressure from other empires)
like he mentions the environment too of course - I guess he's obliged ("Oh no, earth will keep warming up even if carbon emissions are zero!"), I mean it's not like that could be because of natural climate change, nah
