Fair enough
Oh right, that wouldn't go well with Dawkins lifelyhood
With all the anti religion stuff and all
Idk really whom he could have used, every nig that I think were great (like 1 or 2 guys) are great examples of beeing proud of their nations and those leftists use seem to have more skeletons than clothings in their closets.
Darwin wrote a book specifically about British superiority.
Indeed
We have elections coming really soon
In this graf you see different parties saying "hate speech should be defined and become criminal offense" as % of their politicians trying to get elected
Sdp=social democrats
Rkp=Swedish peoples pasty (despite of name they're not literal commies)
Vihreät)=greens
Vasemmistoliitto=leftists union
Keskusta=centric party
Kokoomus=coalition party (a bit like wet wing of tory party in uk)
Sininen tulevaisuus=blue future
Kristillisdemokraatit=Christian democrats
Perussuomalaiset=the finns party
The fact stays true, finnish people and politicians have been separated and not many that vote coalition, centrist party or leftist union vote cause they like immigrants, usually they whom vote these parties vote them because media says Finns party is evil and/or cause of economic policies and/or what they represent/represented
Centre Party is centrist and agrarian, they have no opinions unless it benefits farmers and rural people. Currently the largest party so they have the prime minister
National Coalition is supposed to be the GOP, low taxes, capitalism, conservatism, etc. During cold war years they were permanently in opposition. Nowadays they have become more liberal and are approaching the liberal wing of libertarians / democrats
Social Democrats are your general high taxes and labor unions. also very pro soviet and anti NATO / USA. Believe that trade with Russia can fix all issues forever
Blue Reform is a strange story. There used to be a populist and anti-immigrant party called the Finns party and in 2017 Jussi Halla-Aho a known immigrant and Islam critic became the party leader so they spilt just enough members to keep the government intact. Among the defectors was the original founder of the party, secretary of state Timo Soini. They dropped out of the parliament in 2019.
Finns party is the leftovers. Notable members are Halla-Aho and Laura Huhtasaari who recently run for finnish president, lost but did surprisingly well.
Green League, half of the Left alliance, your open borders, pro immigration, virtue signaling left-wing party, you know the drill, refugees welcome and USA is evil, global warming is the #1 global issue. The reason i say "half" of Left alliance is because the two parties' support is a zero-sum game and same voters migrate in-between the parties from election to election.
Christian democrats is supposed to be the christian party but religious people vote for Centre or national coalition so they are quite redundant.
This one was from yle (basically BBC of Finland) from 29.3. Elections are 14.4. If I remember correctly
14.4
early voting is until 9th
voted today because of schedule issues
i posted my summary of parties above
Finns party may need updating
because they are also favouring cutting unnecessary programs from the budget such as foreign aid
how would you translate "jytky" to english? @Finno
great result?
iirc the word is a neologism and doesn't really mean anything in particular
I'm gonna vote on real voting day (good excuse to visit municipality center) and I'll certainly give my vote to PS
@Largezo112 I don't think center party is that akrarian, since like Kekkonen they haven't really worked for rural folk and farmers, sure there is alkioist (umm... Is this correct translation?) wing in there but they haven't really been in power, they say they're pro rural but don't really do anything for it, they're kinda same way agrarian as coalition is libertarian.
yeah
pro-rural would be more descriptive
@Finno - What party is that fucker that supports Catalan independence? Mirko or Mikko-something.
Last name would be easier
The whole Catalonia thing is about as important thing in finnish politics than what new era in Japan is called so I haven't really registered who was pro and anti catalonian independence really.
Mikko Karna.
This barely-functional retard getting money from the very corrupt government of my region. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikko_K%C3%A4rn%C3%A4
never seen or heard of him
He is a "centrist" yet he also wants Spain to blow up into pieces.
A very moderate fella, you know.
He's from lapland area of voting so no wonder I've never seen/heard of him
Also, he has no studies at all. His only work experience is in the border patrol.
Also he doesn't seem to have been in any high places, Im kind supriced you've even heard of the guy
He has been paid a ton of money to act as "international support" for Cataluña's independence. He has spent entire weeks over here.
"Mikko Karna Cataluña" or "Mikko Karna independence" and you'll find dozens of articles and videos.
I'd fucking hate Suomis if it wasn't for the fact that the Finnish parliament has actually contradicted Mikko several times.
Lol he even got into parliament cause Paavo Väyrynen decided to continue in european parliament and when väyrynen came back he had to leave the parliament
(translation from finnish wikipedia of this guy) "Kärnä is currently unemplyed. He has planned to write a book about his time in parliament and having holidays"
usually politicians are politicians to only spring to some nice job after their ruling time is over but this didn't even manage that
