I could get them from my cable company but I think I prefer to make my own

I could probably do it all for about 1000-1500

May I ask what you hope to gain out of them?

I park on the street. So I want to have one cam pointing from one angle and another poitign form the other angle . Basically I want to cover my car and be able to get license plates of anyone that drives down the road.

I'm expecting that ex landlord / crazy lady to key my car or something at some point.

I would like to capture evidence

And one pointed at the hallway in my apartment to see who is out there.
