"He was" is literally "He be (past tense)"
@Jacob True, my family is extremely Americanized. They don't even cook Polish food or speak the language anymore. They can't even pronounce their Polish surname correctly anymore
More brown people are Spanish speakers as first language than white
@Virgil What about Pytheas; who was widely known in antiquity but now only remembered through the works of others? Do we discount his discoveries? No.
"Did you go to school yesterday?" = "You yesterday go (past tense) school (Question marker)"
@Virgil ooof sometimes I feel the need to correct people when they pronounce their own surnames incorrectly
Spanish is a POC language here and that's on the Spanish Empire
Sad!
we love our meds
Japanese grammar is weird
People with Polish last names always find the ugliest ways to mispronounce them, too.
No conjugation for person, but conjugation for mood
and tense, and aspect
"I wasn't able to go" can be made into one word
We love our Meds folks, as long as they're not 52% face Mestizos
^
I once had a guy pronounce his surname maJEWski when it was pronounced Mayefski. *The correct pronunciation isn't even more difficult*.
Spaniards are fine, "ouch oof" columbians not so much
@Jacob Me too, and my family is super liberal and pretty anti-Polish. I'm probably the most Polonized of the bunch at this point.
wow
I once knew a squatemalan who larped as iberian and listened to marching music
You ever look into it and see that the Argentina is White meme is kinda true
Some of my grandparent's family were germans who lived in eastern europe, I figured I'd have some eastern european ancestry but apparently not
My family almost moved to Brazil
Well they lived in the Baltic
I once knew a guy with a polish surname who was all into polish women and wanting to visit Poland, but he was like 25 percent black.
lol ya those exist
The Baltic Germans are completely gone at this point

One time I was at work and this black girl handed me a credit card with a Ukrainian name on it. I looked her up on Instagram and she seemed to identify pretty closely with her Ukrainian side.

Not totally gone, I guess. I'm still here
@ophiuchus Bulgarian is pretty easy, hello is Strav in Russian the same word is completely inpronouncable.
lmao German Germans are gone in spirit
yeah racemixing is hard to not get disgusted by
What was really weird was that she had a post about getting her US citizenship. So I guess the race mixing happened... in Ukraine somehow?
I actually kinda feel bad for people like her, because of course she'd wanna side with the better side of her, but black overpowered.
The only ones that aren't cringe and bluepilled unironically only exist in the east
@YourFundamentalTheorum Polish in America love race mixing
