Selling stuff directed at women makes corp.s HUGE money so why not men?

2018-11-11 21:36:28 UTC

Watch out for that cheap crap though, it can dry your scalp and cause dandruff

2018-11-11 21:36:35 UTC

I understand why it's sold, I don't understand why it's purchased.

2018-11-11 21:36:51 UTC

"Why do I have to pay 1 dollar more for pink razors!!!!"

2018-11-11 21:36:53 UTC

you don't

2018-11-11 21:36:53 UTC

Marketing to peoples insecurities

2018-11-11 21:37:09 UTC

It's for......normies

2018-11-11 21:37:11 UTC

Maybe because there are so few things specific to men and women in society that this provides an outlet for that small little gender-affirmation in your day.

2018-11-11 21:37:12 UTC

You literally chose to purchase the more expensive one because it was pink

2018-11-11 21:37:15 UTC

you're validating the marketing

2018-11-11 21:37:42 UTC

There’s no men’s only conditioner anyway so I’m buying women’s conditioner every time for my luscious red hair

2018-11-11 21:37:51 UTC

Conditioner is the women’s conditioner lol

2018-11-11 21:38:06 UTC

"Corporations exist to further entrenched patriarchy and oppression" instead of "making money" is left-wing alex jones-tier

2018-11-11 21:38:21 UTC

I hope I don’t catch a lot of flack for this but sometimes I’ve used my wife’s razor because I have very sensitive skin and “man” razors give me gnarly razor burn and bumps

2018-11-11 21:38:26 UTC

@VinceChaos I have noticed that too lol. You can get mens shampoo or even mens shampoo+conditioner mix, but you can't get men's conditioner

2018-11-11 21:38:37 UTC

by the way I am not a huge fan of the shampoo + conditioner mix

2018-11-11 21:38:39 UTC

My wife who does hair would love this convo

2018-11-11 21:38:52 UTC

Gives the best haircuts too

2018-11-11 21:38:54 UTC

Neither am I @ThisIsChris

2018-11-11 21:39:05 UTC

the time your hair is sitting in conditioner is NOT the time for shampoo to be drying it out. Opposing effects!

2018-11-11 21:39:06 UTC

Razors the same. This is literally the marketing argument.

2018-11-11 21:39:15 UTC

just buy "women's" conditioner

2018-11-11 21:39:27 UTC

soap is soap fam

2018-11-11 21:39:55 UTC

@ophiuchus just saying its a marketing thing I've noticed. I'm still buying herbal essences most times anyway

2018-11-11 21:40:03 UTC

Only difference is fragrances.

2018-11-11 21:40:13 UTC

Are you guys telling me your don’t cover your heads in grease and shave it with a knife like vin diesel in pitch black? Scoff

2018-11-11 21:40:14 UTC

@ThisIsChris yeah I gotchu

2018-11-11 21:40:17 UTC

They also have different genres for if your concerned about different things, like shine vs volume vs curly hair vs hydration

2018-11-11 21:40:29 UTC

I've found those genres do make a difference

2018-11-11 21:40:45 UTC

not necessary but a plus.

2018-11-11 21:40:48 UTC

Pretty sure there is actually more chemicals or more material or better material in a whole host of women’s products so they actually are charging women fairly

2018-11-11 21:40:58 UTC

@Clayton_H_ATX your wife should join IE and give us advice

2018-11-11 21:41:11 UTC

If you want shitty products buy men’s things like I buy women’s conditioner for quality

2018-11-11 21:41:12 UTC

She could, she runs a salon

2018-11-11 21:41:16 UTC

yeah we need an official IE barbershop

2018-11-11 21:41:33 UTC

You could just compare ingredients listed on the bottle

2018-11-11 21:41:40 UTC

IE action next year: Defend the Alamo

2018-11-11 21:41:54 UTC

Yeehaw!

2018-11-11 21:41:56 UTC

We'll go to Texas and everyone can go to @Clayton_H_ATX 's wife's salon

2018-11-11 21:41:58 UTC

I need a good white cheap enough English speaking barber that would be amazing

2018-11-11 21:42:00 UTC

I’m working on her. Maybe she’ll join. We just got into the group through me, but maybe she’ll join. Or at least cut our hair 😂
