as for the red flag law thing, the trouble with red flag laws is that the ones in place in several states are enacted with little to no evidence that a person is really a danger to others leading to frivolous claims by family members with little to no evidence to be taken seriously, and the details of the orders are often sealed and not even the person whos been subjected to said court orders is given a proper legal explanation.
