I have a friend who does nothing but work and he makes 11 an hour
I have a relative that spreads concrete. He gets paid in cash and it’s not steady work .
No way to build a career
Once a young man starts an entry level tech job they should start a vanguard account and put money into dividend stocks on a monthly basis. Retire when they want to, probably early.
That’s good advice for any working man period
You can retire young if you don’t have an ex wife and three step kids to pay for , haha
I agree
Yeah I just started using budgeting software to help with that
Otherwise I spend too much
Young guys are using the robin hood app too. It looks cool for investing
lol im using acorns
I spend about 900 - 1200 on living expenses
I use gnucash - free, open source, no one sees your data
Oh cool
@Nawalter Jizney good you keep track
Do you invest in anything but index funds
That’s transportation and recreation included, if I go over that it’s business
It might go up in a few months since I’ll get a super nice bump in pay do to stuff I’ve been working on
those ideas of just starting in desktop support
I’ll probably get better quality food and good supplements
@Shad Grimgravy I am out of index funds now. I invest in three funds on vanguard .com
Two dividend stock ETFs and one REIT
I recommend watching you tube vids to explain these better than I can , haha
so guys, any aspirations that you guys have attained? or are you still working on them? I kind of want to take on acting and see how that goes. Not having a wife/gf can really open doors for you
you want to develop embedded control software for Space X? You want to do machine learning at google? You want to fix the computer of Stacy in Accounting?
you just want to write code for some IT infrastructure?
Learning to draw, already know how to code. Want to make games on the side
@0supahgatovian11 you never really stop, even if you achieve something you need to replace it with something else, lest you fall into decay
@0supahgatovian11 always be learning. Never stop learning and updating your tech certs.
Anything can happen , one phone call and you are back on the job market.
I have my CCNA but im studying for another cert too, just in case
At first I wanted everything super fast but once I realized the nature of self actualization I figured it’s better to be nice and steady
@0supahgatovian11 it is totally cool doing IT administration type jobs, it depends on what you want
@Nawalter Jizney well said
Life is a wonderful journey
Not to be rushed
Yeah mastering a skill usually takes years
Yeah don’t or else you’ll burn out, hard
Have to just enjoy the learning process
true true im just a very impatient mofo at times
I was invited to hike a few weekends ago.
I met all these people who work hard but still take time just to get muddy a@d hike with a little back pack, it was inspirational
So molyneux just deleted a tiny thread I commented on in one of his E-begging videos, very interesting
A guy commented, asking what happened to the 500 in bitcoin molyneux had since before it blew up
