what a chad

2018-11-13 19:37:14 UTC

Splash mountain is the last stand of implicit white identity

2018-11-13 19:37:17 UTC

People who are pressing X to doubt, have you ever experiences true diversity? Like, there's one guy from Vietnam, one guy from Samoa, one guy from Nigeria, etc.

2018-11-13 19:38:07 UTC

UW is genuinely depressing

2018-11-13 19:38:16 UTC

I’ll add that this city is incredibly ethnically segregated. Two black people out of maybe 30 live in my apartment building and I’m in a 3/4 black city.

2018-11-13 19:38:40 UTC

Would seriously take this over New York any day.

2018-11-13 19:38:42 UTC

oh ya that's another good point; you have to learn to deal with each group

2018-11-13 19:38:45 UTC

@Ace92- VA hey welcome to NoVA (Northern VA)! You definitely should join our regional slack. I have a few ideas on places to live. George Mason University is in Fairfax so there should be very affordable housing all around in Fairfax proper

2018-11-13 19:39:26 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin oh yeah it’s gotten bad in the last few years!!! I couldn’t stand it anymore! Now I have neighbors who wave the confederate flag 😂 you have a place in Holladay ????

2018-11-13 19:39:36 UTC

Learned to conduct yourself in a dichotomy is significantly easier than learning how to live in a melange of whatever.

2018-11-13 19:39:56 UTC

@Grayson I do! Just an apartment I keep for access to the slopes in the winter

2018-11-13 19:40:30 UTC

In a dichotomy, you still belong to something. In Seattle, everyone belongs to an atomized, cultureless market segmentation.

2018-11-13 19:40:40 UTC

@Grayson And that is beautiful. Utah is perhaps the state with the best claim to whiteopia

2018-11-13 19:41:37 UTC

@Grayson Unfortunately Tennessee is demanding I go there so I won’t get to spend much time in UT. What a great place though.

2018-11-13 19:42:02 UTC

Tennessee is pretty good fam

2018-11-13 19:42:12 UTC

Eastern Tennessee is beautiful

2018-11-13 19:42:18 UTC

Memphis is hell but you know.

2018-11-13 19:42:20 UTC

It’s best place in the country for shipping. Easy access everywhere

2018-11-13 19:42:23 UTC

Yes....

2018-11-13 19:43:28 UTC

I’ve loved some of the areas around Nashville — Brentwood, Franklin, Hendersonville. All very white and a much higher quality of life than most

2018-11-13 19:43:50 UTC

Amazon is building a fulfillment center near Spokane. I hate what they do as a corporation but I'm excited for the faster shipping.

2018-11-13 19:44:14 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin ping me or dm me once you get get full member status, I'll get you into the VA regional server.

2018-11-13 19:44:26 UTC

We’ve had a bunch of former Amazon employees apply for jobs. They all hated it.

2018-11-13 19:44:28 UTC

but not before 👀

2018-11-13 19:44:47 UTC

I’m sure their work culture is terrible

2018-11-13 19:44:59 UTC

I’ve heard the pay is bad and they’re treated pretty poorly too

2018-11-13 19:46:46 UTC

Nova is getting Amazon HQ2!

2018-11-13 19:47:06 UTC

@Jacob I live in a 65% black area and I can assure you there’s absolutely nothing good about diversity

2018-11-13 19:47:39 UTC

Yeah, it’s bad dude, but I really think it’s easier to hack than living around people for 20090999 different countries.

2018-11-13 19:47:41 UTC

I also lived in Houston TX which is the most diverse city in the US and it’s a shithole in the public sphere. Only good coming from it is commercialism and oil money from saudis

2018-11-13 19:47:43 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin That's what I told my mom. She thinks it's really cool if I work for Amazon some day.

2018-11-13 19:47:58 UTC

After all, a white/black split is less diverse than whatever manhattan is.

2018-11-13 19:48:02 UTC

@Gumbo - AZ That's *less* diverse than the alternative I'm describing

2018-11-13 19:48:13 UTC

ya I know diversity sucks

2018-11-13 19:48:23 UTC

Then how could it be any better

2018-11-13 19:48:25 UTC

Of course it depends on the role @Jacob, but working in their shipping dept seems rough... We pay slightly more and you’re managing way less packages a day than at Amazon.

2018-11-13 19:48:39 UTC

@Gumbo - AZ It's better because it's less diverse

2018-11-13 19:49:02 UTC

2 ethnic groups vs 40 billion ethnic groups

2018-11-13 19:49:06 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin oh no she wants me to work for Amazon when I graduate with my computer science degree, it has nothing to do with the fulfillment center

2018-11-13 19:49:35 UTC

Houston TX has more demographic representation than any other city in America. That’s all types. It’s shit.
