We are not watering that down

2018-11-16 17:29:41 UTC

I would miss EVROPA 😢

2018-11-16 17:30:07 UTC

Is any progress that’s made with a watered down name/message really progress?

2018-11-16 17:30:09 UTC

Let's not change our name. It would be bad branding.

2018-11-16 17:30:32 UTC

It doesn't matter what name we choose. They'll still call us neo-nazis.

2018-11-16 17:30:37 UTC

The V has become a meme. I would be comfy with a change to a U, but I’ll accept whatever leadership decided

2018-11-16 17:30:50 UTC

The V is chad.

2018-11-16 17:30:51 UTC

And no, the ADL and SPLC don’t call us Neo Nazis

2018-11-16 17:30:58 UTC

They call Mosley one

2018-11-16 17:31:05 UTC

They call us White Nationalists

2018-11-16 17:31:10 UTC

@NateDahl76 Really? The ADL doesn't even call us that anymore?

2018-11-16 17:31:10 UTC

The wiki is gatekept

2018-11-16 17:31:19 UTC

holy shit

2018-11-16 17:31:24 UTC

Yeah when I checked it was “white supremacist”

2018-11-16 17:31:34 UTC

Could be wrong

2018-11-16 17:31:37 UTC

That's slightly better.

2018-11-16 17:31:46 UTC

It's one thing to change your name when you're tiny and as yet ineffective. It's another when your ranks are burgeoning and the mexican government thinks you're mean.

2018-11-16 17:31:55 UTC

At least it's not using the n word against us.

2018-11-16 17:31:58 UTC

wait

2018-11-16 17:32:01 UTC

lol!!!

2018-11-16 17:32:05 UTC

I just realized...

2018-11-16 17:32:36 UTC

Neo-Nazi: The Double N Word.

2018-11-16 17:32:45 UTC

*neon

2018-11-16 17:33:13 UTC

that's perfect for optics

2018-11-16 17:33:20 UTC

calling that word the double n word.

2018-11-16 17:33:41 UTC

I once told a lefty that called me a nazi that nazi is the N word for white people 😂😂

2018-11-16 17:33:41 UTC

Yeah but Neo-Nazi means something bad

2018-11-16 17:33:57 UTC

whereas the usual n-word just means black person

2018-11-16 17:34:01 UTC

@ThisIsChris As did every slur at one point.

2018-11-16 17:34:17 UTC

@ThisIsChris The n word was once socially acceptable to use.

2018-11-16 17:34:41 UTC

@ThisIsChris Now we can make the double n word a mainstream slur.

2018-11-16 17:34:46 UTC

The whole neo-nazi thing is a joke, especially since we've put in rules banning it.

2018-11-16 17:34:52 UTC

Can we make appeals to change it?

2018-11-16 17:35:05 UTC

@Axel Cyberstrike is already on it.

2018-11-16 17:35:12 UTC

Nice

2018-11-16 17:35:32 UTC

Yeah and it took a century of reconstruction and integration enforced by the military, scotus, media to change the use of the n word. Trump can't even take away an asshole's press pass, there's no way we're going to turn neo-nazi into a slur.

2018-11-16 17:37:17 UTC

I could be wrong but I think younger people who weren't around for WN 1.0 don't associate the term with Jack boots and pinwheels. As "neo nazi" and "white supremacist" lose their flair, surely in part thanks to good optics, the left is trying to turn WN into the new n-word for whites. But when they call Trump and Steve King white nationalists, they hurt their own objective and the term loses power by their very use of it.

2018-11-16 17:39:31 UTC

People are getting radicalized but overall I think it's few in our direction. One example is the recent mid-term elections which were a blue wave. Another example for me is a personal friend who describes himself as a conservative libertarian but now posts angrily about "the nazi threat"

2018-11-16 17:40:11 UTC

More like a blue thief in the night

2018-11-16 17:50:42 UTC

@⚡Clark⚡ I know and we should be but there is a political optics game that needs to be played, It would be an aesthetic change, not ideological
