It's more for close-quarters work. Also would be a great choice if you're climbing in and out of a vehicle often.
Sure, the shorter barrel robs a bit of velocity, but it's still good out to at least 400 meters. Besides all of this, it's a badass status symbol among the modern-day mujahedeen, as [Krinkovs] were so difficult to come by. _(LOL on that last sentence, although it's true!)_
