@Josh M. -OH Russia has an a natural incentive to allow Ukrainian vessels to pass from the Sea of Azov to the Black Sea, as that makes them less of a threat to Russian shipping and the Kerch Strait Bridge, but not so much in the case of the latter.

2018-11-25 23:25:20 UTC

Russia might have done it to imply that they are willing to do other more drastic things even if they really arent or are hesitant, much as Trump did with his unnecessary and asinine bombing of Syria in order to make his threats towards North Korea more credible, essentially trading a temporary escalation of tensions for a long term de-escalation assuming that WW3 doesn't result along the way.

2018-11-25 23:25:36 UTC

They had a temporary off limits area that Ukraine violated.

2018-11-25 23:26:07 UTC

@TylerHess That's possible.

2018-11-25 23:26:19 UTC

2018-11-25 23:26:35 UTC

Ima keep it real with you chief. If you had said "Coconut Oil" instead of "Palm Oil" those tigers finnasend their job applications into Kelloggs if they want a place to stay.

2018-11-25 23:26:46 UTC

I have an article to link but it's not cooperating. Standby.

2018-11-25 23:26:50 UTC

@Papa Pizzagate yes coconut oil is good. and not a huge threat ecologically in the same way as palm

2018-11-25 23:28:39 UTC

Is the Ukrainian government actually retarded?

2018-11-25 23:28:53 UTC

@Josh M. -OH This is just a bit of linguistic sperging, but I really hate that so many people interpret "бандит" as bandit in English. While it *is* technically a cognate, who uses the word "bandit" in English in 2018...?

2018-11-25 23:28:54 UTC

Just stubborn

2018-11-25 23:29:21 UTC

What does meme waifu lawyer Natalya Poklonskaya have to say about this?

2018-11-25 23:29:24 UTC

They ruined their relationship with what used to be their biggest ally for... ???

2018-11-25 23:29:29 UTC

@Jacob Hard to know. Their government's kind of a sh#tshow...

2018-11-25 23:29:47 UTC

@Jacob Crimea. Gas

2018-11-25 23:30:15 UTC

@Jacob Victoria Nuland's cookies 😋

2018-11-25 23:30:29 UTC

Ukraine was likely subverted politically long before anyway. Likely by the west.

2018-11-25 23:31:03 UTC

@Josh M. -OH Yeah... By the "West..." 😏

2018-11-25 23:31:15 UTC

Dont repeat the but Crimea is Russia stuff either.

2018-11-25 23:31:16 UTC

Usual suspects

2018-11-25 23:31:30 UTC

(((The west)))

2018-11-25 23:32:09 UTC

> come to power through a violent coup
> glorify Nazi collaborators, simultaneously pissing off both Poland and Russia
> economically sanction a country that they need more than the other way around
> yo why don't we have any friends anymore?

2018-11-25 23:32:51 UTC

So the bad optics militias you think made it impossible for Ukraine to join Visegrad group?

2018-11-25 23:33:02 UTC

I am not very informed on Slavic matters

2018-11-25 23:33:06 UTC

Add getting into bed with dirty American politicians to that list

2018-11-25 23:33:26 UTC

well the bad optics militias certainly aren't helping

2018-11-25 23:34:05 UTC

@Jacob I mean, I've kind of moved from unabashed pro-Russia posting to hoping to see (the Ukrainian portions of) Ukraine move into the Visegrad orbit.

2018-11-25 23:36:47 UTC

Nothing about the entire thing makes any sense

2018-11-25 23:37:20 UTC

Hearts of the west... is that thing people still want these days? If you aren't a "minority" I mean.

2018-11-25 23:37:21 UTC

Dude...interviewer is crapping on the author in Lit channel... <:nervous:359009898115104770>

2018-11-25 23:37:42 UTC

@Jacob I think there's probably going to have to be a confederalization, resulting in an intermediate status quo similar to the relationship that existed between Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska from 1996 to 2005, guaranteeing neutrality and economic multilateralism, and paving the way for an eventual velvet divorce a la Czechoslovakia.
