I really don't know. It's not quite so ubiquitous. I have one acquaintance who got his roof covered in solar panels, and he's getting a nice reduction of his power bill. He lives in Las Vegas, so maybe that's going to get MUCH better when Summer comes.

I just got the idea from a game I played. It's an Action-RPG, so the solar panels aren't really a mechanic, just lore. But at the beginning, there's a solar-powered ship and some of the crew are assigned to keep it clean.

Is anyone going to set up an Element/Matrix as a backup?
