@Isabella Locke-MT I was a stay at home dad for about 3 years so I was responsible for maintaining the house and kids in order. It's a job that you can't really "clock out"

2018-12-12 11:38:34 UTC

Yeah that's true. But I think that's true for all parents. Once you have a little baby, there are really no sick days.

2018-12-12 11:39:20 UTC

Even if you get a babysitter, there will always be the parent-mode in the back of your mind.

2018-12-12 11:39:52 UTC

Definitely. Wondering if the baby is still okay, etc

2018-12-12 11:40:28 UTC

Once you have kids, it's hard imagining life without them

2018-12-12 11:40:43 UTC

They're awesome

2018-12-12 11:42:02 UTC

I've wanted a baby so bad for about two years. We waited because money, school, etc. Finally I started a daycare job in April working with 2-3 yr olds and I pretty much broke down on my birthday in May and begged to start trying. I got a baby for my birthday 😊

2018-12-12 11:43:13 UTC

That's really awesome, tbh. I think our(my wife and I) experience was a little less planned

2018-12-12 11:44:14 UTC

We had our first son about 2 years after we got married.

2018-12-12 11:44:38 UTC

It will be 3 for us

2018-12-12 11:45:26 UTC

We've been together 5 years. Got married after 2. Our 3rd anniversary was in November, and our little boy will be born in January-mayyyybe early Feb if he is stubborn

2018-12-12 11:46:35 UTC

That's really great news. It's uncommon for young adults in this time to get married "early" and have kids

2018-12-12 11:47:05 UTC

I met my husband at 18 and will be 23 when Henry gets here.

2018-12-12 11:47:11 UTC

I'm glad we started early

2018-12-12 11:47:56 UTC

That's about the same as me. Met my wife when I was 19 and she was 17.

2018-12-12 11:49:39 UTC

I feel like we've completely dominated general lol

2018-12-12 11:50:34 UTC

Oh lol. Well, I didn't see anyone else posting

2018-12-12 11:51:33 UTC

But I lurk almost all the time. Never really post anything, so there's that.

2018-12-12 11:52:44 UTC

Husband is about to leave in 30ish minutes so I will probably go back to sleep for a bit. No use in having a regular sleep schedule right now since I'm about to have a newborn lol

2018-12-12 11:55:29 UTC

every time I lay down this boy starts rolling around like his imaginary pants are on fire

2018-12-12 11:55:50 UTC

Because he knows that mom is trying to sleep. Duh.

2018-12-12 11:58:52 UTC

The midwives said that I'm basically rocking him to sleep when I'm up and moving around, so they get more active when you lay down since the rocking motion goes away

2018-12-12 12:02:09 UTC

That was my wife's experience since she works as a nurse and on her feet all day

2018-12-12 12:02:31 UTC

@netgearblackhawk The Ukrainians I grew up up around all get married super early

2018-12-12 12:02:39 UTC

18 is pretty normal

2018-12-12 12:03:47 UTC

@Jacob It seems like the culture here is pushing people to be promiscuous for decades.

2018-12-12 12:04:00 UTC

Delay marriage and family

2018-12-12 12:04:28 UTC

Encourage instant gratification, etc.

2018-12-12 12:07:26 UTC

At the same time, guys are getting into relationships too early

2018-12-12 12:08:06 UTC

If you're ready for marriage it's fine, but there's no reason to spend 20 years of your life dating starting in middle school

2018-12-12 12:09:23 UTC

Maybe there's some compelling reason for this that I'm missing, but it seems counterproductive to me

2018-12-12 12:11:48 UTC

Biologically we weren’t made to start being with opposite sex until our late 30s either. There’s a reason our bodies change in early teens...

2018-12-12 12:12:05 UTC

I mean, it’s science

2018-12-12 12:12:48 UTC

Women are most fertile in early 20s for a reason

2018-12-12 12:13:19 UTC
2018-12-12 12:14:06 UTC

I personally think men should have their lives together before thinking about relationships instead of rushing into it

2018-12-12 12:14:20 UTC

So, what ever age that happens at is the right age

2018-12-12 12:15:47 UTC

They should, but...

2018-12-12 12:16:46 UTC

God they’re still after that guy in Strasbourg?

2018-12-12 12:16:58 UTC

“Lives together” is subjective. One man can do a whole lot with his bare hands, while another only sees money as the important thing
