nice
@Goose I wouldnt get any at all, its a waste of money. I only want catastrophic coverage and that doesnt seem to be a thing anymore.
Yeah the boys got 8 years. One girl got off with 200 hours of community service and 4 years probation lol. So hardly justice for kidnapping and torturing a challenged white boy.
hardly @wayne peek
@TylerHess i've said the same thing but i'm constantly met with "if you get hurt in an accident, we'll have to sell the house"
@Goose is that blue cross blue shield?
yup
Unfortunately my understanding is that Blue Cross Blue Shield is the best insurance a non-CEO/politician can get
$400 a month for a single, healthy, young male
but i'm sure it's difficult to afford because i'm a lazy millenial <:really:453005408064241674>
@Goose are you employed? Is that what you pay on top of what your employer pays? that amount is def a lot
i get a 1099 <:sad:366743316475281408>
@Goose ouch, that means you're up a creek without a paddle. If it makes you feel better, I have slightly worse insurance that together my employer and I pay about 500 for.
Damn dude thats like a car payment.
Would you object to something like medishare?
But if you get a 1099, then you can probably choose a cheaper insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is high roller insurance
@Sam Anderson True, but I have no car
@ThisIsChris what can i say, i've got expensive taste đ lol
luckily my truck is paid off
I am in favor of a system that is National heathcare for treatments that are common and proliferated and a full Capitalist system for emerging or experimental products. Eventually the gov takes over something when it is common enough. Best of both worlds Capitalism and Socialism.
but this health insurance is draining me
@Goose I am of the mind to spare no expense for your health. But wouldn't hurt to look over the past year and see how much insurance you really needed that you may be able to get away with.
i honestly don't need any.
but i have to deal with my parents fear-mongering about losing the house if i end up in a serious accident
if it's just a few checkups then you can get a high deductible emergency insurance and then just pay your checkups out of pocket
i didn't know if y'all had any suggested companies while i'm shopping around
the companies vary by region
right
well, it'll be interesting after the 1st when hospitals have to start listing their prices
huh I didn't know that, that sounds cool
My father just sent me this and simply said âoptics matter!â Lol

It's admittedly religious, but you share medical costs with the other members. https://mychristiancare.org/medi-share/what-is-medishare/share-calculator/
I am V.Balboa and I am going to post in this General channel
@Ecarttev thanks.
not a problem when i'm already paying for invaders' health insurance
i'm about to drop bluecross blueshield for that image alone
@Goose another thing to consider, not just for insurance: https://www.freelancersunion.org/
@Sam Anderson That's true. Minneapolis and Saint Paul feel like foreign countries to me. University Avenue in Saint Paul has almost no small business signs in English, save for pawn shops. It makes me sad, because I spent a considerable time of my youth in that area.
BC/BS is good insurance, but it is expensive.
I have an employer HRA and my share of the monthly family premium is about $475.00. There is also a $9,600.00 out of pocket that I am required to pay, before it kicks in 100%.
@Goose good eye. I wouldnât see that if I wasnât prompted to look for it
