@Virgil it wasnt bad. I'm honestly too full from a big dinner to properly enjoy it, but the meat doesnt add much flavor, only occasional texture.
It's crazy to think this pie (and Christmas celebration because it was seen as too pagan) was banned in parts of Europe and even parts of new England at some times.

I highly recommend this book. It’s a quick read, published in 1971, but it’s very prescient about the role of powerful individuals in government and business consolidating power to undercut individual freedom and national sovereignty
