2019-01-05 04:39:12 UTC

Does anyone have a good way to take your mind off of something?

2019-01-05 04:41:04 UTC

Do something else

2019-01-05 04:41:45 UTC

2019-01-05 04:43:24 UTC

@Gumbo - AZ Good idea. Hopefully my school gym opens up soon

2019-01-05 04:43:29 UTC

pick an unrelated topic and write something about it, or draw something, or play something on an instrument if that’s your thing

2019-01-05 04:43:51 UTC

like I took art lessons back in the day so every now again I’ll draw something just for the hell of it

2019-01-05 04:44:22 UTC

it’s demands enough of your attention that you don’t worry about other stuff

2019-01-05 04:44:27 UTC

Or keep thinking about it. I just let it flow until it stops.

2019-01-05 04:44:40 UTC

@Jacob Fence your shower curtain with a meterstick. That’s what did until my stick broke

2019-01-05 04:45:18 UTC

fence, like sword fight?

2019-01-05 04:45:22 UTC

We literally have insta-thots in congress now <:sad:366743316475281408>

2019-01-05 04:45:36 UTC

it’s / a c c e l e r a t i o n /

2019-01-05 04:45:58 UTC

That what I did when I read BAP’s book

2019-01-05 04:46:32 UTC

based

2019-01-05 04:46:34 UTC

@Zilna Jestov Ya maybe it'll just go away after a while. My friend told me something really depressing and I've remained pretty calm but I just can't stop thinking about it.

2019-01-05 04:47:27 UTC

you don’t have to answer this, but is it (generally) politics-related?

2019-01-05 04:47:53 UTC

or something about the future

2019-01-05 04:48:46 UTC

It's not political related at all. Reading about politics actually calmed me down.

2019-01-05 04:48:51 UTC

ah ok

2019-01-05 04:50:49 UTC

Nothing about the future either. In fact, I've had some pretty good reasons to be optimistic about the future recently.

2019-01-05 04:52:53 UTC

well, that’s good. the way I see it, it’s better to be optimistic about the future, even it doesn’t seem likely

(this doesn’t mean being unrealistic about challenges, of course)

2019-01-05 04:53:09 UTC

ya I agree with that

2019-01-05 04:53:36 UTC

ooof I just remembered something

2019-01-05 04:54:15 UTC

I'm about to start reading the last chapter of Grey Johnson's book and apparently it's very white pilling

2019-01-05 04:54:46 UTC

i heard this song on a british tv show and haven't been able to get it out of my head. English madrigal song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cE_7aqtgquo

2019-01-05 04:55:32 UTC

huh, that’s good. fun fact: I strategically left my copy of the Sam Francis book I ordered out in full view, and my dad picked it up. He said it was interesting

2019-01-05 04:56:15 UTC

gotta do a little low-level friendly psyops every now and then 😎

2019-01-05 04:57:02 UTC

I've thought of doing something like that

2019-01-05 04:58:06 UTC

it’s at the point that he admits that the ‘65 immigration act was a mistake

2019-01-05 04:58:46 UTC

he’s just too nice of a person to consider that race is an irreconcilable problem

2019-01-05 04:59:04 UTC

I think it helps a lot to be nonchalant about our beliefs. Even if someone isn't actually going to pick up a book and read it, having something like "White Identity" casually laying around on a table does a lot to normalize our ideas.

2019-01-05 04:59:53 UTC

Of course, make sure that whoever sees it isn't someone who would freak out. It could backfire. Don't lose your friends over this stuff.

2019-01-05 05:00:07 UTC

of course.
