Could be great, could be terrible, could be not much at all.

2019-01-08 23:33:09 UTC

But I'm holding out hope - it could always be worse!

2019-01-08 23:35:46 UTC

I think the best we can hope for is Trump gives an ultimatum by a specific date. Make a deal by this date or I'm declaring emergency and building the "wall"

2019-01-08 23:38:17 UTC

We all hope Josh is very wrong

2019-01-08 23:38:18 UTC

Besides the specific issues I like that Trump is going straight to the people with his message. Attempting to take the medias mischaracterizations out of the equation.

2019-01-08 23:38:51 UTC

Trump governs like Forest Gump. You never know what you’re gonna get

2019-01-08 23:39:52 UTC

I hope I'm wrong too. I don't see him as a wild card anymore.

2019-01-08 23:41:33 UTC

I'd like him to say, border is closed for everyone, DACA is unconstitutional, all illegals will be immediately deported.

2019-01-08 23:41:33 UTC

I disagree, but you're not wrong for having that perspective.

2019-01-08 23:41:44 UTC

RE: wildcard

2019-01-08 23:42:29 UTC

If he is still a wildcard, he's indeed a severely hampered one by activist judges, lobbyists, and in some cases his own cabinet and confidants.

2019-01-08 23:42:57 UTC

But ultimately I think he still has the fight in him to push through bold legislation.

2019-01-08 23:43:00 UTC

It's easy to push it off of Trump onto everyone else.

2019-01-08 23:43:14 UTC

I'll bet you a $100 donation to the sponsorship fund he isn't announcing an emergency @Papa Pizzagate

2019-01-08 23:43:30 UTC

'Declaring a National Emergency' that is

2019-01-08 23:43:39 UTC

CHARITY STREAM

2019-01-08 23:43:40 UTC

Yeah, I doubt he's going that far myself.

2019-01-08 23:43:44 UTC

F

2019-01-08 23:44:32 UTC

I think he will attempt to sell the wall to the citizenry though, as stated above by others.

2019-01-08 23:45:33 UTC

Yeah, he'll try to sell the wall again but with the wrong tactic. Facts and figures no longer appeal to these people.

2019-01-08 23:47:01 UTC

Lol tell people all of their friends will see them as the most moral and virtuous person around and they'll vote for the wall.

2019-01-08 23:50:57 UTC

Here's hoping he focuses on the "humanitarian" part and only uses the national security bit to justify his claim of emergency powers to build it anyway.

2019-01-09 00:04:34 UTC

😂

did she died?

2019-01-09 00:32:54 UTC

Dont think so

2019-01-09 00:41:22 UTC

Is that the people's court lady?

2019-01-09 00:45:31 UTC

Judge judy, innit?

2019-01-09 00:49:54 UTC

Ginsburg's political views aside, it seems like bad governance in general to have someone holding office while half dead. Wouldn't it make sense to have a required retirement age for Supreme Court justices?

2019-01-09 01:03:29 UTC

because the memes are only going to get stronger in 2020, i forsee democrats nominating Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for POTUS.
imagine... a President Whitehouse

2019-01-09 01:11:41 UTC

@Jacob As pozzed as the series was, House of Cards brought this up in their show where a justice was obviously suffering from Alzheimer's as he asked questions during a hearing.

Our founders simply didn't have to deal with the kinds of issues we deal with now. Problem is, the country is too divided for its government to act decisively to meet these new challenges.

2019-01-09 01:16:17 UTC

I can think of a scenario in which a government could act decisively. Not in its current form. But in an inevitable form. That will happen soon.

2019-01-09 01:16:23 UTC

Retirement age seems broke as people are living longer lives each generation right? So it should be some kind of mental altitude test rather than an iterated age limit imo

2019-01-09 01:19:02 UTC

@Sam Southern - TN The problem with retirement age is that most of us are being laid off before our retirement age. That happened to me. Fortunately I was happy about it. Not everyone has that luxury.

2019-01-09 01:20:43 UTC

Lol talking about the Supreme Court and RBG. Not sure how the private sector should do it, but something like the SC has to be stricter imo
