And just not holding the silly hearing to vote

2020-11-28 17:36:20 UTC

That ship has sailed? At this point.

2020-11-28 17:36:35 UTC

Yeah

2020-11-28 17:37:18 UTC

No one said anything back in the primaries when we were still in the procedural error

2020-11-28 17:37:45 UTC

No votes will get thrown out for the legislators just not finishing a process they started

2020-11-28 17:38:31 UTC

Do you happen to have a link handy to the Ruling, by chance? I can look it up, of course. Just being lazy... 😄

2020-11-28 17:39:08 UTC

I don't think the link to the ruling actually exist...looked last night

2020-11-28 17:39:17 UTC

Perhaps now

2020-11-28 17:39:56 UTC

If anyone finds it please post

2020-11-28 17:40:14 UTC

R and r and other lawyers have been saying this for a week

2020-11-28 17:40:16 UTC

Thanks!

2020-11-28 17:40:31 UTC

I believe it

2020-11-28 17:40:51 UTC

No problem. It rolled through on a podcast i watch so there's most likely other sites too. I'll check the state government website in a minute.

OPINION NOT REPORTED

2020-11-28 17:43:52 UTC

That ruling has already been appealed to the PA SC. It will be interesting how this plays out. They are not likely to want to throw out the vote.

2020-11-28 17:44:30 UTC

Man i was just about to post that haha

2020-11-28 17:45:04 UTC

If they say "this is illegal, but the results won't change" then I have lost all faith in the judicial system

2020-11-28 17:45:31 UTC

As painful as it will be, the courts need to uphold the law

2020-11-28 17:46:05 UTC

It's a full-time job trying to keep track of all this.

2020-11-28 17:46:16 UTC

Nah. Crooked Pubs did that on purpose so they could invalidate the election, if it didn't go their way. The people can see through it.

2020-11-28 17:48:06 UTC

@DeathRhodes666 you mean you have lost faith in your government to fulfill all technical requirements needed to finish a legislative process

2020-11-28 17:48:16 UTC

One thing's for sure State legislatures need to clarify the interface between executive Board of Elections legislature and judicial

2020-11-28 17:48:43 UTC

This is totally unacceptable

2020-11-28 17:49:23 UTC

@Zuluzeit right that’s the hilarious thing . It was republicans that started the process and never finished it (maybe on purpose for this very reason)

2020-11-28 17:49:40 UTC

@james j Yup. Making any claim I want based on my desires is super, super easy. Anyway, I'm suspicious. Therefore malfeasance.

2020-11-28 17:50:12 UTC

@DeathRhodes666 do you understand what happened though

2020-11-28 17:50:45 UTC

I've never had faith in government nor trust in it. I would be a fool to do so. I would lose faith in the judicial system if they ruled these changes are unconstitutional but the results stemming from the unconstitutional changes is still acceptable. That's not how things work.

2020-11-28 17:51:09 UTC

Yeah but do you understand what happened @DeathRhodes666

2020-11-28 17:51:14 UTC

That shouldn't be how things work in the judicial system. It's basically acknowledging the error but turning a blind eye towards it and not fixing it

2020-11-28 17:51:27 UTC

@james j i do not

2020-11-28 17:51:41 UTC

I get the point you making but do you understand what actually happened @DeathRhodes666

2020-11-28 17:52:10 UTC

A lawsuit was filed, Governor rammed through the changes before the hearings/procedures were followed, and now it's biting them in the ass

2020-11-28 17:52:13 UTC

There's plenty of precedent for this... For decades in the South, massive voter suppression was proven, but courts - though finding the cases valid - would not overturn the current election and instead tried to influence future ones. This "kick the can" approach was ineffective and required the US Congress to act with the Voting Rights Act. I am paraphrasing, but I think this is essentially correct.

2020-11-28 17:53:23 UTC
2020-11-28 17:54:07 UTC

The reason why it’s unconstitutional is because they never held a procedural vote. This change was made in 2019. It wasn’t a rushed thing @DeathRhodes666

2020-11-28 17:55:07 UTC

So the governor accepted the changes, procedures weren't followed, lawsuit is now filed, and it's biting them in the ass. Had my order wrong

2020-11-28 17:55:07 UTC

@DeathRhodes666, you just advanced to level 3!
